Hi.. I'm Jenny Ojo.. a professional, fully insured Makeup Artist based in Surrey. I completed my Makeup Artistry training at Mode Makeup Academy in Hampshire where I learnt the skills I needed to build a career within the industry. I have since undertaken further training and one to one lessons and completed the Melissa Sophia Masterclass at The Dorchester in London. My main focus is bridal and occasion makeup where my aim is to make you look and feel your very best by enhancing your natural beauty. I use a wide range of brands and products to achieve your desired look including NARS, MAC, Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury and Illamasqua to name just a few. The products I use on you will depend on the look you would like to achieve and your skin type and tone. I am based in Sunbury on Thames and available to work in Surrey, London, Hampshire and Berkshire and I am happy to discuss work in other areas. Travel charges may apply and will be discussed at booking.

'I've never felt as beautiful'

Just wanted to say another huge thank you for the amazing job you did on me and my ladies, I've never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day. I ummed and ahhed for a long time over whether to have my make up done and I'm so glad I did because it made such a big difference to how great I felt (not to mention one less thing for me to worry about on the morning, as I said before you definitely were the calm amongst the storm!) Even looking back over the small selection of photos we've had back so far from family and friends I smile like an idiot whenever I look at them. You could totally tell the difference in my mum too, as a lady who doesn't wear a lot of make up, she was like a different person and loads of people said how lovely her make up was.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once you have made an enquiry I will come back to you with a detailed quote based on the number of people in your wedding party requiring makeup and your location. If you are happy with the quote the next step in to book in a trial this takes approx 2 hours. We will try out different lip colours, eyeshadows, lashes etc until you are 100% happy with your wedding day look. A non refundable booking fee then needs to be paid to secure the date and the remaining balance is due the week of your wedding. On the day I arrive with plenty of time scheduled in and will work with your Hair Stylist to create a 'rota' so everyone know what time they are needed for hair and makeup.

What do you love most about your job?

I absolutely love doing makeup and it does not feel like work to me. To be part of someones special day or occasion is such a lovely experience and when the look is complete it is fantastic to see people smile and feel beautiful and confident.

What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?

I always advise my brides to stay classic and timeless with their makeup, and not to follow trends on their wedding day. You want to be able to still look back on your wedding pictures in years to come and love the way that you looked. Ask your artist to just create the best version of you… that will look great and professional on camera.

How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?

You and your bridal party are going to spend a good chunk of your wedding morning with your Makeup Artist so you need to find someone you get along with. I am a relaxing and calming influence on your day allowing you to ‘check out’ of the preparations for an hour and be pampered. I am organised and punctual… and play a role in keeping your wedding morning running to schedule and often get involved in more than just makeup… my kit contains, tissues, spare hair grips, a needle and thread, safety pins, nail varnish remover etc etc… I can spring to your aid for almost anything that occurs. I have been described a one of my Brides as 'The calm amongst the Storm'
