In 1998 I finished school and decided to take up hairdressing. I was offered an apprenticeship at Jaks Hair and Beauty in Ryde, Isle of wight, where I worked for several years and completed my NVQ levels 2 & 3 in hairdressing. I then moved to London and occupied a placement at Charles Worthington, where I gained lots more experience, including being trained by the talented Patrick Cameron in the hair-up department. I returned to the Isle of Wight and continued working at Jaks, this time at both the Ryde & Newport salons. In 2008 I met my partner Darren, and we decided to move to Chester, where I began working for Andrew Collinge, learning more hair-up techniques. Over my years of hairdressing, I gained some very reliable and loyal clients, and this gave me the support to become self-employed. I rented a chair in Sparkle, a lovely little salon in Lake, Isle of Wight. I stayed there for a few years and continued my training, learning to do Micro Ringed Hair Extensions. In April 2014 I furthered my hair extension training by taking a course on Nano Ringed Hair Extensions. Then in July 2014 I decided to leave my salon based side and and completely freelance so I could concentrate on my first love Bridal hair!!
