What is your most memorable wedding?
It is hard to pick a most memorable wedding as I have been a part of so many. However one of my favourites was at a brides family home. They had a marquee in the garden which they decorated themselves and on the morning of her wedding I got her ready in her family kitchen. It was so lovely to see her getting ready to make new memories surrounded by all her childhood ones. That wedding has such a personal touch that I really enjoyed being a part of.

What about your business are you most proud of?
Aside from the publications I have been lucky to be featured on I am most proud of the feedback that I receive from my clients. I am often told how gentle I am during the actual application but also how relaxing and stress free I make their morning. Something that every bride needs on their big day!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number one tip for couples would be organisation! If you find a supplier you like book them! No matter how premature it might feel. You would be surprised at how far in advance people get booked.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My favourite personal touch that I have seen at a wedding was song requests on the RSVPs. I thought it was a brilliant idea and ensured everyone would get up and dance and not pester the DJ.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My typical process with a couple doesn't really involve the groom at all. I meet the brides for the first time at the trial where I ask them to bring photos of hair and makeup styles that they like. We then discuss which elements they like of each photo and create a bespoke look to suit the bride. Trials usually take between an hour and a half to two hours depending on how many looks the bride wants to try. At the trial we also finalise numbers for the day, as well as timings. I then create a schedule which I email to the bride so that everyone knows what time they will be ready by ensuing the day is stress free and seamless. Depending on numbers and timings I try and do as many members as possible of the bridal party myself. However if the morning has strict time constraints or they are a particularly large bridal party then I bring an assistant with me to either help with bridesmaids hair or makeup. I always make sure that I do the people that I have trialed in their entirety. Before leaving I do final touch ups to make sure everyone is pristine when I leave.
What do you love most about your job?
I genuinely just love makeup and I always have done. However since focusing mainly on bridal hair and makeup I have come to realise that I also love working with lots of different people who are always friendly and joyful as its such an exciting day.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
My number one beauty tips for a bride would be : Skincare!!!! You can't expect flawless makeup if you don't prep the canvas correctly. A good skincare routine is good practice in general not just in the lead up to your big day. You only have one skin, look after it.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I keep the bride calm on her wedding day be being efficient and organised. Being there to ensure everyone is ready on time helps the morning to go smoothly and swiftly so the only thing left for everyone to do is get dressed!
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
My advice to make sure you look great throughout your wedding day is know yourself. Know what you are going to be comfortable with in terms of hair styles and makeup. Also know how your skin and hair react. If you know your skin looks oily throughout the day then make sure to let your MUA know so they can apply the correct products to ensure that you look flawless throughout your entire day. If you know your hair doesn't hold a curl well or that you will constantly be touching it or getting hot and bothered with it down then opt for an up-do.
