What is your most memorable wedding?
My sisters wedding was amazing, she had an early start and I had myself, my sister and my mum to prepare! I was so overwhelmed with excitement and pride it was wonderful to be a part of it.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, enhances your existing features, flawless without being heavy, a more enhanced version of you, collaborative.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I've raised it from nothing and it's all my own work. I've also won Highly Commended in the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards 2015
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Talk everything through with your hair and make-up person to ensure the morning is planned and goes without a hitch.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We meet on the trial and talk through all aspects of the day. It's important to me that brides feel like they know me. I might be the only stranger that turns up on their wedding morning and it's lovely to at least know a bit about each other. By hearing about how they've planned their wedding I learn about the bride as a person and can build an idea of a look that might suit her.
What do you love most about your job?
It's an absolute honour to be asked to be a part of someone's wedding day, seeing their face when the full look is complete is just the best feeling ever.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Don't veer too far away from your usual make-up. You don't want to not look recognisable on the day
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I'm quite chatty on wedding mornings and one of the reasons I realised it was the job for me was the fact that it has never panicked me and I've never been nervous. My calmness does have a tendency to rub off on clients and wedding parties.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Dab don't wipe!! My motto dab away tears rather than wiping them and your make-up will stay put!
