If you keep your eyes open, you will also spot in the current house a gunboat heading towards the Castle. In the 17th century, the fort was enlarged on both sides to become this large mansion. A wealthy duchess then bought Combelle to live there with her childhood sweetheart, a famous composer and performer whose piano still resonates within the walls of the house today. While the Duchess has been living with her nurse and her priest for several years, the nurse causes the death of the two other residents before fleeing with the family jewels which she replaces with fake ones!
