On the outskirts of the small picturesque village of Castéra-Lectourois, less than 10 min. from Lectoure, the Gîte du Hiron offers privileged accommodation for your vacation rental or your stay in the Gers. Solo, as a couple or with friends, you will discover a cottage of charm and character in a beautiful 17th century residence, with a backdrop of a wooded park and the Gers countryside, particularly splendid at sunset. Throughout the seasons, the spectacle of the latter, from the terraces or the windows of the gîte, is particularly pleasant and soothing. The estate is accessed via a long driveway, leading between 2 centuries-old dovecotes to a large stone house which houses the gîte, its rooms and its common areas. Completely renovated in 2017 with the aim of creating a characterful gîte, the building uses noble and ancestral materials, to which the owner of the premises has added a subtle modern and colorful touch. The stone renderings are made with traditional lime, and there are many cut stones in the architecture of the house itself: large fireplaces, large interior arches, doors, etc. A large private car park is provided for parking your car, and allows water and electricity to be connected to motorhomes and electric cars.
