Our team is dedicated to helping you plan your special day [...] HISTORY The Legacy Of Moolmanshoek Moolmanshoek’s history is rich, beginning with Petrus Lafras Moolman, the original owner. In 1905, Moolmanshoek was acquired by Thomas Mitchell for his son, Ernst Mitchell, who later married Dora Musgrave and built the main sandstone house between 1928-1933. After Ernst’s passing in 1956 the farm was later auctioned, and Hendrik Erasmus emerged as the highest bidder, becoming the owner in 1968. Hendrik and Hester Erasmus had a daughter named Miemie, who married Willie Nel. In 1980, Willie acquired Moolmanshoek, and the estate expanded with the addition of adjacent farms Langesnek and Waterkloof.
