What is your most memorable wedding?
I've filmed a few in my time. Probably the most memorable was one set in the rural Toulouse in France. It was super hot though!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Emotional, Unstaged, Joyful, Fluid and Storytelling (is that last one an adjective?)
What about your business are you most proud of?
I love capturing the emotion and feelings of the day, it's something I always look for when filming, and I'm proud to be responsible for capturing it
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan well in advance of your big day. But once it arrives, let it happen. Just enjoy it, it's yours and it'll only happen once.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Always a fan of pick n mix for the guests. But I always love creative table names. Disney or Superheroes were some of my favourites... and every time one was mentioned in the speeches, everyone had to drink. That was a good laugh.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Little chat or long chat if you'd prefer. Over zoom or a cider, either works for me. Then exchanged paperwork and I'll check in shortly before your big day. Then I'm your fly-on-the-wall video guy during the day 😊
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Slow motion four legged ring-bearers are probably my most favourite moments, if I'm honest
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Always thought I could do a pretty good job of a new version of the The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I love an emotional instrumental that takes you through the gentle emotions, to the epic moment of the bride walking down the aisle and all the way to the joy and romance of the first dance at the end of the night. But aside from all of that, I absolutely love the background sounds in video. I love the nature sounds of the outdoors or the hustle and bustle of joyful conversations during the reception - and of course the cheers and excitement at the first kiss.
Describe how you got into videography.
My grandad let me have a go on his video camera when I was 13. 25+ years later - still love videography.
