Whittington Castle is a historic wedding and event venue located near the border market town of Oswestry. The 12th-century castle remains and gatehouse nestled in the rural countryside of Shropshire provide a tranquil setting for couples to enjoy their celebration.
The Lady Eleanor Function Room
In the South Tower of the gatehouse, the Lady Eleanor Room provides classic elegance in its vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors for 35 guests. Soon-to-be-weds have use of the North Tower gallery for meeting registrars privately before the ceremony.
Outdoor Ceremonies and Marquees
Situated on 12 acres of private land, outdoor ceremonies can host larger guest lists upon the remains of the castle or on the lush lawns. We work with specialist marquee companies for companies for couple who wish to host both their ceremony and reception at the site for up to 150 guests.
