Trunkwell House is a country house wedding venue in Beech Hill, near Reading, Berkshire, set within 34 acres of beautiful countryside. With a Victorian country house, permanent wedding marquee, landscaped gardens and a choice of indoor and outdoor spaces, our venue offers a setting for weddings of different sizes and styles.
A venue exclusively for your wedding
Trunkwell House offers exclusive hire, giving you and your guests the privacy to enjoy your celebrations together. From outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions in the gardens to wedding breakfasts and evening parties in our marquee, you can plan your day around the spaces that work best for you.
Wedding packages to suit your plans
We offer a range of wedding packages, including bespoke options tailored to your requirements. Dry hire is also available for couples who would like greater flexibility when planning their day. Our team can talk you through the options and help you find an arrangement that works for your wedding.
Dedicated wedding planning support
You will have a dedicated wedding coordinator, Sophie, as your main point of contact throughout the planning process. She will help you organise the details, answer your questions and guide you through the arrangements in the run-up to your wedding, so you have someone who understands your plans from the beginning.
Bridal suite and on-site accommodation
Our newly renovated bridal studio provides a dedicated space to get ready on the morning of your wedding, with natural light, hanging rails and dedicated hair and make-up stations. The honeymoon suite is included for the night of your wedding, with five additional bedrooms available to rent for guests at the couple's discretion.
Indoor and outdoor wedding spaces
Our grounds provide space for outdoor ceremonies, photographs and drinks receptions, while the permanent marquee can accommodate up to 350 guests, depending on the layout and staging. For smaller celebrations, the Willow Room and private dining spaces offer alternatives for intimate weddings and ceremonies.

Located in Beech Hill, near Reading, Trunkwell House is ideally placed for couples looking for a wedding venue in Berkshire. There is on-site parking for over 180 cars, making it convenient for guests travelling from across Berkshire and the surrounding areas.

We really can’t thank Sophie and Renee for making our day run seamlessly. All our guests had an amazing time and loved the venue! The bar staff were quick to get everyone a drink so no queuing which was great. The bbq food and canapés went down a treat. The resident dj was spinning some great tunes and took requests even let us do abit of Karaoke on the mic! We were also surprised by a champagne tower which added to our day. (Cont on Google)We had our wedding on the 25.7.26 at Trunkwell house. We really can’t thank Sophie and Renee for making our day run seamlessly. All our guests had an amazing time and loved the venue! The venue was stunning, with beautiful surroundings and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A big thank you to Rene, the manager, who stood out for his professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness throughout the event. He made sure everything ran smoothly and went out of his way to ensure guests were comfortable and well looked after. It was a truly memorable dayWe attended a wedding at Trunkwell House Hotel on the 27th of April, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Sophie and Rene were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. I honestly couldn't have wished for a more perfect day and it’s all thanks to these guys. We knew that it was the one as soon as we arrived at the initial viewing. All of the staff were amazing throughout, but Sophie and Rene were just exceptional, nothing was ever too much trouble. They went above and beyond and helped bring all of our ideas to life, they were always quick at responding to our many emails and getting meetings booked in. Everything ran so smoothly on the day!!The venue is so beautiful, well maintained and we loved how much space there was for all of our guests. They were always open to our ideas and willing to make them work for everyone. They were responsive within emails and helpful when needing further information. On the day, they all worked incredibly hard to ensure the day ran perfectly which it did! Everything ran pretty much on time, food was beautiful & our guests and us really enjoyed the meal, staff were always polite and approachable. Trunkwell House is a wedding venue in Beech Hill, near Reading, Berkshire. Set within 34 acres of countryside, it offers a country setting within easy reach of Reading and the surrounding areas. We are a 10 minute drive from Junction 11 off of the M4, a 20 minute drive from Reading train station, and a 5 minute drive from Mortimer village train station.
