Our beautifully restored 14th century Tithe Barn, with its heated flooring, staffed bar, gallery area and exposed beams has natural light pouring into the barn through large windows. Overlooking Symondsbury Estate and beyond, the Tithe Barn is a truly wonderful place to celebrate your wedding. We believe that every wedding is unique, and with the flexibility offered by the Tithe Barn, you'll be free to conjure up any imaginative theme or atmosphere that suits your personality and preferences by dressing the venue entirely as you wish. So whether you are planning an intimate gathering or something more lavish, its flexible style can be adapted to suit. We are licensed to conduct Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships within the barn and its gardens as well as a village church just 5 minutes away the options are endless. The Barn has the capacity to seat up to 120 guests, cloakroom facilities with disabled access and a catering kitchen for our in house catering team or catering partners to use. The idyllic garden creates a peaceful and serene atmosphere, making for a romantic area for drinks and canapés whilst gathering to celebrate your special day. The wooded area is the perfect spot to take photographs of your magical reception, forging memories that will stay with you for a lifetime. Here on the Estate we also have a number of holiday cottages, which you and your guests are able to book to get ready in and somewhere to keep the celebrations going beyond your wedding day itself. Our cottages range from the quaint Duck Street Cottage sleeping two up to our largest property Allington Court sleeping twenty-one.

We honestly cannot thank Amy and the team at The Tithe Barn enough for everything they did to make our wedding day so incredibly special. Amy was absolutely outstanding from start to finish and went above and beyond in every possible way. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She was incredibly organised, attentive and somehow seemed to anticipate what we needed before we had even thought to ask. She made the entire day run so seamlessly and took away so much of the stress that comes with getting married. Despite everything that was going on, she made us feel like we were the only couple she was looking after, and we always felt completely supported and in such safe hands. The Tithe Barn itself was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our relaxed barn-style wedding. Every little detail came together perfectly, and Amy played such a huge part in making that happen. Even at the end of the night, the team went above and beyond by helping gather all of our bits together, which made clearing up the following day so much easier and was hugely appreciated after such a long and emotional day! Amy, we genuinely cannot thank you enough. You were incredible and made such a difference to our wedding experience. We feel incredibly lucky to have had you there to guide us through the day and help make it everything we had hoped for and more. My husband and I had our wedding in the Tithe Barn in May this year, and we can’t recommend it, or the team at Symondsbury, highly enough. The barn and surrounding gardens are so beautiful — so many great spots for photos! — and Amy, head of weddings at Symondsbury, is a true joy to work with. Her utmost professionalism made the entire process practically stress free and the coordination on the day from the entire team was flawless. We got married at the tithe barn in July and cannot fault it! The barn is stunning and we had the best day from start to finish. Amy did such an amazing job as our wedding coordinator and we are so grateful. We had around 100 guests and the barn was plenty big enough. The tithe barn is a perfect blend of modern meets classic barn. We had our wedding in August and I can't begin to express our gratitude to Xanthe and the team. From the moment we visited the barn we knew it was perfect for us. Xanthe repeatedly went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and stress free. From allowing so many visits to putting out fires left, right and centre throughout the day, she was absolutely incredible. Weddings are stressful but having someone come to you with problems and immediate solutions and then just sorting it out is something we can never say thank you enough for. Thank you for everything especially nailing our ceremony music timings and having to switch on a million LED candles. You just made our day a breeze and it exceeded all expectations. Colmer's Hill is a local landmark which makes an incredible back drop for wedding photos - really dramatic and beautiful. We also have an abundance of wild flowers around the venue depending on the time of year.

Our catering partners offer a huge range so it would be hard to pick but we're mad about their tapas options.
