The Old Rectory is a beautiful Grade two listed stone building in Handsworth on the edge of Sheffield. Tucked away in its own quiet grounds this former rectory could be out in the middle of the country side, yet conveniently for you and your guests it's actually only a short distance from the transport networks of the Motorway and the city centre too. Steeped in history, The Old Rectory is certainly one of South Yorkshire's more unique Wedding Venues. From the moment you pass under the stone arch of the old coach house, to the front of the fine old Georgian Rectory, which looks out across its own lawn and garden, you will know you have found your perfect wedding venue. Greet your guests down the red carpet, come through the French windows into the fine Georgian Bramley lounge with its fabulous fire place. Mingle with your guests over a glass of Bucks Fizz or Pimms in the large Ballifield Drawing room, bathed in light from the high shuttered windows. Before finally sitting down to eat in the spacious Main Hall, that later on becomes the perfect place for a disco, or band alongside our excellently stocked bar.

Perfect Wedding Venue

Wedding planner Dharby was fantastic. We wanted to book quickly and she invited us to meet her the same day and fitted us in for six weeks time, although she had earlier dates. It was effortless for us as she arranged everything and bespoke too. The venue looked wonderful inside and out and all our guests commented what a great venue it was for a wedding. We would highly recommend The Old Rectory and are really grateful for their excellent and professional service.

I wouldn't hesitate to use for another occasion

Had my amazing birthday party here and it was just what I wanted. From the organisation to the night itself, the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and they accommodated my requests. The resident DJ played just the music I wanted and everyone love it. I wouldn't hesitate to use for another special occasion.
