Description

The doorway of the Tudor Turret House is a unique setting for an outdoor ceremony with up to 100 guests. The grounds offer stunning photo opportunities, from the sweeping flower filled aisle to the lavender maze and historical ruins. Our barn extends from a 1700s farmhouse into an enclosed garden. Featuring original stonework and exposed wooden beams dotted with fairy lights, it is filled with rustic charm but with a contemporary edge. Our gardens are the perfect place to enjoy a drink, play games and cosy up round our firepit. Ceremonies for up to 60 guests can be hosted at Manor Oaks House with a wedding breakfast for up to 100 people and 120 guests for your reception. We offer both package and DIY weddings so you can design your special day around the aspects that are important to you. Our DIY weddings mean you can personalise every aspect of your day, though we’ll always be on hand to help. You plan your decor, entertainment, food and all the fun and leave the boring bits like tables, linen and glassware to us. We also have a range of added extras and recommended suppliers if you’re looking for a little inspiration. Our packages are designed so you have a beautiful wedding without the stresses of organising every detail and always knowing the final price. We include venue, décor, food and disco and with with the option to add flowers. That’s not to say every detail is set in stone. You can choose to use external suppliers for that personal touch! Our venue also comes with a quaint bottle bar, staffed with a professional team of bartenders, ready to serve you. Our diverse menu includes a variety of cocktails...or mocktails if you're the designated driver. While we do have an on-site catering option, The Rhubarb Shed, our driveway provides the perfect backdrop for you to personalise your day with a food van or ice cream truck! We'd love to chat about how we can make your special day.

Made our wedding day perfect
Just wanted to extend our warmest thanks to you and all the team at Green Estates for making our wedding day perfect. We loved every part of the day and this wouldn’t have happened without you. Words cannot express how amazing it was. All our guest commented on what a beautiful venue it is, how all the staff were kind and polite and there was so much for them to do, whether it was gathered round the fire pit, paying Jenga or propping up the bar and enjoying a great choice of drinks (especially

The best day ever 🥹
We want to say a massive thank you to Chloe, for making our day run so smoothly and letting us have the best day we could’ve imagined ❤️ We had the best time, and it couldn’t have gone any better. Thank you so much again for everything, 2 years of planning went down perfectly, and now we’re finally married eek! Our day was absolutely perfect, we had a Pokemon themed wedding and the whole team loved it. A subtle touch, but it was us. The venue is absolutely stunning and we could have our own BBQ vendor setting up, and for the outdoor part of the wedding, we had a steel bath with alcohol to toast with our guests. The reception, wow! It was set up beautifully and I wish I could add more photos to show it off, but this one captures how happy we truly are. Thank you to everybody who made our day special ❤️

Perfect venue
Manor Lodge has been just perfect for our wedding: we had the ceremony at Turret House and the reception/meal down at Manor Oaks. The flowers both at the top and bottom are a beautiful backdrop to the whole event and the team there were very good. They were so careful with all the detail, for instance: making sure we were alright throughout, but also things like reminding us we could have photos in the open door of Turret House, lighting the fake candles on the table before everyone arrived for the meal or making sure there was always some fresh milk by our 'tea point'. The fire pit in the evening was a highlight, as were the cocktails. Would highly recommend!

The perfect venue for our wedding
The grounds are beautiful, and there are lovely views over the city. The staff are so helpful, in all the preparations beforehand and on the day - they got so many compliments from our family and friends. And all at an affordable price!

The lack of professionalism didn't over ride our special day!
Like all bride and grooms, organising the structure and lay out of your special day in hope that everything goes according to plan, boils down to a bit of good organisation and a bit of luck on your side too with the weather also playing a big factor. We were expecting slight down pours of rain throughout the day but to our delight, it held off... There were a few issues from our point of view as well as our guests. We had individual co-ordinators as a first point of contact for any issues, the co-ordinator should be on hand to iron out any glitches that may be raised through out the day... The grooms co-ordinator was only on site until 4pm, this was around the time of the sit down wedding breakfast, just after the speeches... The speeches went down well, if not too well... but the issue was, the bar staff took it upon themselves to close the bar without any notice to ourselves and guests in honour to proceed with speeches, not the best idea for 60 odd thirsty adults... We had purchased 4 bottles of wine per table ( 7 tables ) to use for guests during toasts for speeches and during our meal. We never received an explanation as to why we were unable to receive the bottles... even though we had paid for them. When we asked where the bottle of wine were, we were told bluntly that the wine was for meal time only (surely this was our choice as it was already prepaid for). All guests had empty glasses during toasts (embarrassing!). Whilst the bar was closed, all staff were chatting, laughing and on their phones, no reason for the bar to be closed!! This caused everyone to get up and form a large queue at the bar after speeches whilst food was been served which made the meal time feel rather chaotic rather than formal. There was a lack of co-ordination, our photographer had to announce us back into the venue after photos from outside in the gardens, to be introduced by a standard ovation from our guests, our coordinators were no where to be seen, this resulted in a time lapse on our video recording from our videographer. Bar issues - Guinness sold out, this was raised prior to the day as we had mentioned that this would be a popular choice. Guests were refused wine as they were told there were no wine glasses left, yet there was loads on the top shelf that had been pointed out to the staff but were still refused this. One guest bought drinks and told one of the bar staff to get herself a drink in which she then took it upon herself to get all the bar staff a drink and he was charged a huge amount for this. Several complaints about one particular member of staff, her attitude and lack of people skills this happened to be the main organiser. Stories we have been told from our guests sound like she was telling them off. At the end of the night when the staff packed our decorations away, items had been thrown into our boxes and several items either broke or damaged. We was advised the room turn around after the ceremony would take around 20-30 minutes however this took about 45 minutes resulting in everyone outside getting cold and frustrated. Although ourselves and guests enjoyed the day, when we are getting negative comments about parts of our day it kind of puts a downer on the day. When people ask if we had a good wedding we are kind of hesitant to give a positive answer. A wedding costs a lot of money and is only done once, this is not the way we wanted to feel. We are trying to ignore the negative parts and focus on the good points. If green estate do read this comment, please take this on board as constructive feedback to prevent any reoccurrence for future events.

Fantastic wedding, exceeding expectation.
We had around three months to plan and organise our wedding, so choosing Sheffield Manor Lodge was easy due to the winter package they provide. The venue was beautiful with a simple, rustic feel, perfect for our intimate wedding. The staff were helpful and friendly, providing plenty of opportunity before the day to go through, discuss and plan whatever was needed. Communication was great, putting us at ease with lots of questions and tweaks along the way. Things were provided, such an the easel, card box, arch, simple table decorations etc, which made it easy for us being under time constraints and was a lovely touch on the day. All staff on the day were great and calming making sure the day flowed nicely. Nothing was too much trouble, with Stevie being especially helpful. We are still on Cloud 9 and can't wait to see the pictures from the day. We can't thank staff enough for making our day as special as it was.

The most stunning hidden gem of Sheffield
Being from sheffield myself, I can’t lie when I first heard there was a wedding venue on the Manor, I was reluctant to view it as, historically it was a deprived part of the city. Little do you know that it is the most amazing location. Our guests were blown away by the stunning, elegant, sophisticated venue that just keeps giving!! The inside is just what I visualised but then outside, the space, the fire pit, it’s just breathtaking. I had a very specific and clear vision of how I wanted both our ceremony and reception to go and the staff exicuted it perfectly. The team are super professional yet I felt like I made friends organising our day. Nothing was too much trouble, the day ran to plan like clock work and the staff were all so efficient, no glasses were left on tables, the bar never had a huge queue etc. I would 100% choose manor lodge again and again. It surprised me, my family and friends and you can pay an absolute fortune for a fancy hotel, a place miles away but to add a cherry on top, it’s really reasonably priced. I met with a couple of venue dressers and one had a £650 minimum spend… it dresses itself!! I jumped onto the fairy lights and used an LED light to make our cake/dessert table look like a feature and it was perfect! I love the way the team care for and respect the whole green estate and Manor Oak House will forever be a very special place for us all. Thank you team, I will reccomend you to ANY couple considering your beautiful venue. Thanks for having us!!
