Here at Pentre Mawr, we do things a little differently. We charge one fee and give you total freedom. Kick start your weekend celebrations with a BBQ on the Friday night down at the fire pit with your family and friends. Then finish the night off in your own hot tub with a glass of fizz...cheers to your last 'single' night! You can bring your own caterer and your own wine with no corkage. We sit in 6 acres of gardens, We have two marquees and two super barns to make sure that you have cover on the occasional days it rains in Wales! Why not say 'I do' in our beautiful white pagoda on the HaHa or in our Secret Walled Garden. We’ve got a fantastic Pinterest room with loads of lovely goodies you can use to decorate your marquee. We also provide a photo wall and a fantastic candy cart that you can fill with your favourite sweeties. And the most daft thing of all... a doughnut wall! Our latest purchases are huge LOVE letters and a 5 foot heart so there’s no need to order any of the extras as these are all here for you to use. You two will have a room of your choice for two nights with breakfast. Where possible, we will be happy to offer you a complimentary stay the night after your wedding. (Very occasionally this may not be possible). Many venues close the main house on the wedding day, but we’re always open and it’s your country house for the weekend. In the dance barn the PA system and disco lighting are available to you. So you can choose a DJ, band, or bring your own playlist. We’ll provide buckets of advice and more importantly effective crisis management so your day runs smoothly.

We got married at Pentre Mawr in May 2025, and we genuinely don’t know where to begin – it’s hard to put into words just how perfect our day was. It might sound cliché, but it truly felt like a fairytale – far beyond anything we had ever dreamed of. They really went the extra mile to make the whole weekend feel special, looking after every guest and paying such close attention to all the little details. We honestly cannot recommend the venue – or Bre and Graham – highly enough.We got married at Pentre Mawr in May 2025, and we genuinely don’t know where to begin – it’s hard to put into words just how perfect our day was. Pentre Mawr: where wedding dreams come true! Pentre Mawr: where wedding dreams come true!
After looking at several venues and feeling quite disheartened, we stumbled across Pentre Mawr, and thank goodness we did. From our first phone call with wonderful Nina, meeting with Bre and Graham, to the weekend itself, we were blown away by their generosity, compassion and encouragement, and fell in love with the hidden gem of Pentre Mawr that you'll find hidden away in the beautiful Welsh countryside. The team's knowledge and experience shone through immediately putting us at ease, and we felt that they took the time to get to know us and what we wanted for our special day. Accepting a last minute date which brought our wedding plans forward by a year left us with less than 6 months to get everything organised, and to say they went above and beyond to help and advise us is a huge understatement. We ended up booking 2 of their preferred suppliers, who were just as brilliant, and the whole weekend was better than anything we had dared to dream of. The beauty of being able to have the venue exclusively from a Friday to Sunday meant we had quality time with our family and friends (30 staying onsite in the brilliant safari lodges and cottages) and it almost felt like a short holiday rather than one rushed day. The venue also offers a real mix of atmospheres for all, whether it's relaxing in the sunshine, enjoying the stunning views and playing lawn games (provided by the venue!!), or having a ball in the barn with full sound system, lights and dancefloor next to the adjacent bar. Every single thing has been thought of, and the added special touches are the cherry on top of the already wonderful cake! Our guests who stayed on site were particularly impressed with the lovely welcome emails they received before the weekend - a simple gesture, but very much appreciated by all. Just thank you Bre, Graham and Nina. It is hard to put into a short review just how thankful we are, but you fully deserve all the praise you get and more. I'm fortunate enough to photograph weddings at this venue, several times a year and it just keeps getting better and better. Pentre Mawr is a stunning venue in the heart of the North Wales countryside, where you are treated to 360 degrees of beautiful views. Abigail and Andrew were married in June 2024 and we were treated some wonderful conditions. There are so many locations within the grounds of Pentre Mawr offering such a variety of wedding photo opportunities, so it keeps me so so stimulated whilst already being part of someone's special day. Every time that I work at Pentre Mawr I can't help but appreciate the levels of superb hospitality from the owners Bre & Graham and their team. Nothing is too much. We had the best wedding day i could ever imagine at Pentre Mawr. Nina the organiser was so helpful and reachable anytime. The owners Bre and Graham were just the most gorgeous couple from the first viewing and genuinely made us feel like family. We could do whatever we wanted at Pentre Mawr and our wedding is still talked about today! I just want to live in Pentre Mawr forever! 🥹We had the best wedding day i could ever imagine at Pentre Mawr. Nina the organiser was so helpful and reachable anytime. The owners Bre and Graham were just the most gorgeous couple from the first viewing and genuinely made us feel like family. We love working at Pentre Mawr, it is a beautiful venue that has a lot of character. The marquee is always beautifully set up, and the range of accommodation available to guests is fantastic. The owners, Bre and Graham are fantastic hosts and allow couples to have their dream day. Nina is also fantastic, and always happy to answer any questions we have regarding the details of each wedding. I'd give them 6 stars if I could, you couldn't ask for any more really. We love working at Pentre Mawr, it is a beautiful venue that has a lot of character. The marquee is always beautifully set up, and the range of accommodation available to guests is fantastic. From start to finish our day was amazing. Bre and Graham were so helpful and friendly. Pentre Mawr is a beautiful location full of character. To have to hold place to use for your day is amazing. Pentre Mawr is a beautiful venue and nothing is too much trouble for the gorgeous owners and staff! I love that you can arrange your own catering and there is plenty of room for family and friends to stay over. Wow, I can’t even begin to explain how incredible Pentre Mawr Country House was for our wedding last week. From start to finish we were overwhelmed with the kindness and organisation from the team. Bre, Graham, Nina and the rest of the gang went above and beyond to ensure our day was as special as it could be. And we had the best weekend of our lives and wouldn’t change a thing. It also helps that every aspect of the venue is absolutely beautiful and carries its own charm! We were able to have our dogs with us throughout the whole weekend which just added to the whole experience. We wish we could rewind the clock and do it all over again! Bre and Graham are very experienced in the hospitality industry and it definitely shows - no request is too much. We would recommend this venue to everyone, it’s not just one day at Pentre Mawr, it’s a whole weekend and a lifetime of amazing memories. As soon as we saw Pentre Mawr Wedding Venue, we knew it was the venue for us! We fell in love with how unique, different and beautiful it is. Our wedding weekend was just how we imagined and more! A wedding weekend we had been dreaming of and more. If only we could replay the whole weekend again, it went so quick! At Pentre Mawr couples have the luxury of spreading out their wedding over a couple of days, from the Friday to the Sunday! That for us was just perfect. Graham, Bre and Nina were so helpful and accommodating with all the questions and visits during the planning stages. It was so important to us to have an exclusive wedding venue, a venue with just us and our wedding guests there and no other guests. Pentre Mawr was just that it was perfect, it had lots of different areas that our guests could relax in and enjoy. In addition, having a wedding we could make our own was equally important. A venue we could choose our own wedding suppliers, decorations and entertainment. A venue that welcomed children and dogs too. Our day was perfect, full of love and laughter with family and friends. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We have a saying here at Pentre, "If it's legal and we can physically do it, our answer is a resounding YES!!" We are want every couple to have whatever they want on their wedding day so when a bride said she wanted a fairground, we thought, why not. it was brilliant and we even got to go on the Ferris wheel just before they took it down. Fantastic!!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Use a budget planner and at each venue ask for a price per person inclusive of everything. There can be so many add ons, that why here at Pentre we charge one fee for our couples and they can use all the lovely things we have inner wedding store, like our candy cart, photo wall, doughnut wall, cupcake stand, Prosecco wall and so much more all included in the venue fee. This year we've even got 5' LOVE letters. Weddings don't have to break the bank.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One of our grooms had a red rose delivered to his bride every hour on the hour before the service!

Nothing beats a slice of fresh pizza after a few drinks....Savour the rich flavours and irresistible aroma of a wood-fired pizzas from our wonderful preferred partner.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Drum roll....... Can you believe we were the first people to bring African Safari Lodges to the UK!! We are proud parents of 5 African Safari Lodges, all have their own private hot tubs and all the luxuries you'd expect in a 5 star hotel.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

We are extremely privileged and honoured to host a couple's wedding so when they give us a 5* review, we couldn't be prouder! Also, the Thank You cards and of course the hugs when we say our goodbyes. We hear so often, "That was the best wedding we've ever been to". That just makes our day!
