We recently hosted a beautiful family wedding for 40 people in the summer, where the celebration began with a lively drinks reception in our picturesque garden. Guests enjoyed mingling and taking in the stunning views of The Fleet, creating the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos of the bride, groom, and their families. The day continued with a traditional sit-down meal in the Jurassic Lounge, where the gentle summer breeze from the garden added to the magic and intimacy of the moment. It was a wedding filled with joy, love, and lasting memories.

One lovely personal touch I’ve seen at weddings is the use of personalised gifts for each guest, placed on their chair with homemade cards. The couple had thoughtfully chosen small, meaningful gifts that reflected their personalities or their relationship with each guest—like a mini bottle of their favourite drink or a handmade item. Each gift was paired with a homemade card featuring a handwritten note, expressing a special memory, a shared joke, or a heartfelt thank you. It was a truly charming and intimate gesture that made each guest feel cherished and added a warm, personal touch to the celebration. Guests left with a keepsake that was not only a thoughtful gift but also a reminder of the special day.

A classic midnight treat for me would be a warm bowl of chocolate fondue with an assortment of fruits and marshmallows for dipping. It’s indulgent and fun, with the rich, melted chocolate offering a comforting sweetness, while the fresh fruit and marshmallows add a satisfying mix of flavours and textures. It’s perfect for those late-night cravings!

The most unique feature of our venue is the harmonious blend of Georgian architecture with modern design. While we've embraced contemporary updates, we've been careful to preserve and highlight the original features of the manor house. The addition of real fires creates a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, and the breath-taking views of The Fleet and the beach add an extra touch of charm.
