At High House we ensure there are no hidden costs for couples when booking their wedding here by having 'extras' they need to add to make their day perfect. Our venue hire fee is inclusive of the following:
Use of Essex Barn or Thatched Gazebo for your civil wedding ceremony
Bridal Dressing Room from 9am until the time of your wedding ceremony
Marquee for wedding breakfast and evening reception
Brides cottage for the night of your wedding, inclusive of continental breakfast provisions
Tables and chairs for up to 120 guests
Cake table and knife
Optional use of lawn games, wishing well for cards and sweet cart
Table plan easel
Dance floor, sound system and stage in marquee
Facility for dance floor reveal in marquee
Private bar facilities in marquee
Stable bar open for reception drinks
Staff for beverage service throughout day and bar service in evening

We understand you may wish to create bespoke menus, as your day really should be truly about you. When booking taxis to High House please ensure that the booking location is High House Farm Wedding Venue. This is to ensure that our local neighbours are not disturbed when taxis are locating the venue.
Our location is marked in the map below by the red marker. Unfortunately Google Maps and Sat Nav can be unclear as to our exact location so please ask taxis to look out for our entrance rather than relying on Sat Nav devices. Please also ensure that taxis are booked in advance of your visit to High House, as local availability is very limited at last minute.

We could never choose just one, as we have had so many amazing weddings here and they all unique. We absolutely love helping couples put their own special touches on the venue and making the day their own.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Think about what you want for your day and not what you 'think' you should have. We really encourage our couples to think about what they love and enjoy and make those things part of their day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One of our brides had sadly lost her dad not long before her wedding day. She wanted to have something here that would remind her of her dad throughout the day, he loved fishing so she set up a chair and fishing rod next to our pond which overlooks our reception drinks space. It was a lovely touch to remember her dad.

Where’s the best photo spot at High House Weddings?
We love the vineyard, it's a favourite for our couples. We also have our weeping willow tree in front of our of beautiful Monet inspired bridge. Photographers are always mentioning how beautiful our landscape is and how they are spoilt for choice for photo opportunities!

The stunning gardens are definitely a favourite unique feature, but we are most excited to be introducing our brand new Orangery for wedding receptions in 2025.
