As an Essex Premier Wedding Venue, we have a responsibility to strive for improved standards. As a family owned business, we are constantly looking for ways to enhance the total experience of visiting here, and ways to make your visit a most memorable one.
The Baronial Hall, built circa 1600 out of light Oak, is considered to be one of the finest examples of a Tudor/Jacobean Barn, with high vaulted ceilings and dressed with wrought iron chandeliers. It has a unique charm, a very special atmosphere and that wow factor when you first see it and because of this has become one of the most popular wedding venues in Essex. The solid Rosewood Floor was acquired from County Hall London twenty years ago, and a hundred years after it was laid there. The Ryder Room, is licensed to perform Civil Ceremonies, in addition we have a newly refurbished area to enable us to host outdoor ceremonies theatre style so the guests have a wonderful view of the ceremony taking place. The secluded gardens are totally enclosed. It has a very private feel and cannot be overlooked by anyone.
New to the venue we are able to offer for night before accommodation, located separately from the Baronial Hall. It can sleep up to 8 people, has 2 dressing tables and private patio, allowing the bridal party to prepare themselves prior to the ceremony.
For accommodation on the night of the wedding, we have a Bridal Suite with private courtyard and parking, as well as 5 guest rooms within the main building.
