Carrick Castle Estate is a destination wedding venue on the West coast of Scotland nestled amongst hills, trees and overlooking Loch Goil. The Rustic Barn established in 2018 has been exceptionally popular offering DIY and all-inclusive wedding packages for up to 120 guests along with accommodation for up to 34 guests in luxury accommodation. With the new addition Craigard, a castle-like manor house nestled in private grounds, we are delighted to be able to offer couples small and intimate weddings up to 24, elopements and additional luxury guest accommodation for up to 12.

Venue and location make it 10/10

We instantly fell in love with Carrick castle as soon as we found it, the pictures were stunning and the location perfect. When we viewed it for the first time we knew we didn’t want to get married anywhere else. The staff, venue and location make it 10/10 and all our guests were blown away with the natural beauty of the place! The day was flawless thanks to Cheryl keeping everyone in check and making sure the suppliers were just as happy

We had the freedom to make our vision a reality

Words fail to describe just how amazing Carrick Castle Estate is as a wedding Venue. The views of the loch and surrounding hills make this venue have a magical presence that we simply fell in love with as soon as we viewed it. The options you have make the venue even more unique, with the lodge, summer house, lawn and barn all options for both the ceremony & reception. This flexibility to choose each element and design our own wedding meant we had the freedom to make our vision a reality.

We would do it again in a heartbeat!

We got married on the 30/4/22 at Carrick castle estate! We absolutely loved our time there and guests still talk about the incredible views and the accommodation! Hannah and the team were so accommodating and made everything easy in the run up to and on our big day! We had a very rainy day but despite this the day was fantastic, we loved going up to the waterfall in the jeep! We would do it again in a heartbeat! Carrick Castle has a special place in our hearts!

We said our vows overlooking the loch

We said our vows overlooking the loch with our family and friends watching on. The party continued into the barn for the evening and it was a mixture of simple elegance yet fun and relaxed. We were able to completely bespoke our day to exactly how we wanted it. My family often say how much they’d love to go back and stay for a special occasion. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, rustic location for their wedding. We wish we could do it all over again!

Iconic Scotland & Top Class

Wow!!!!! We had the most magical weekend here at Carrick Castle Lodge. We had the pleasure of dealing with the loveliest, most helpful hosts, Hannah & Darius. They were so welcoming, organised, down to earth with great communication. From the very beginning and knew after only visiting one venue that this was the one for us. The grounds, location and facilities were everything we wanted and more. The memories and day was one to remember and will stick in our hearts forever.

The day itself could not have been more perfect

All the special touches that you could think of, Hannah was one step ahead. Because we were doing all the decor ourself we were also made to feel welcome to come back up a few times before our day to give us the time and space we needed to plan and pull everything together. The actual day itself could not have been more perfect. We had the houses for the whole weekend and our guests felt like they were on a luxury weekend away - because they were!

We loved the fact that we could make it our own

Our wedding at Carrick Castle was everything we hoped for and more. The reason we chose Carrick Castle to start with was because of pretty specific criteria - we wanted a rustic barn wedding overlooking a Loch! That is hard to find! We loved the fact that we could really make it our own - with everything from the decor through to the food and drink. We booked all the extra accommodation options, and it meant our whole family and wedding party could be on site with us which was really special.

We would highly recommend the best venue and staff

We fell in love with Carrick Castle Estate the moment we saw the views! We loved the idea of having a wedding weekend with our friends and family. Also, it was important for us to have our own personalities within the wedding, and you can really make it your own at Carrick Castle Estate. Everyone was in awe at the incredible scenery

We had a fantastic time planning our wedding and hosting at Carrick castle. The team are incredibly friendly and we loved that we could do whatever we wanted to the event space (Within reason!). The team were very responsive particularly as the big day approached and were keen to help make the day run smoothly. The space itself is just absolutely gorgeous and all of our friends and family were in awe at the incredible scenery. We could not recommend this venue highly enough!

We were able to tailor the weekend

We had our heart set on Carrick Castle Estate the moment we discovered it in our search for a rustic venue in Scotland. We were not disappointed when we viewed the estate with its stunning location and incredible accommodation. Hannah was extremely supportive during the whole process and simplified everything we needed to do. We were able to tailor the weekend to be exactly what we wanted it to be, and then the sun came out and made it magical! We can’t wait to come back one day!

Travel Notes

GETTING HERE Please note that the GPS will not get you to the final destination. The last place to fill up is Arrochar filling station coming from Glasgow or Strachur coming from Dunoon. Using a GPS to reach Carrick Castle our postcode is PA24 8AF or follow signs from Lochgoilhead. BY ROAD FROM GLASGOW Follow the A82 along the side of Loch Lomond to Tarbet. From Tarbet take the A83 through Arrochar to the Rest & Be Thankful (NB. The filling station in Arrochar is the closest garage to fill up with fuel coming from Glasgow side, the closest from Dunoon is Strachur). Turn left onto the B828 and onto the B839 to Lochgoilhead and Carrick Castle. Before the humpback bridge into Lochgoilhead turn right towards Carrick Castle – this is clearly signposted. Follow the road for 5 miles. Approximately 200m after the Carrick Castle sign at the entrance of the village you will see the lodge up a dirt track on the right-hand side. You will see a large wooden barn with the newly built lodge to the left, this is your destination. If you reach the castle you have gone too far - turn around and drive just over half a mile, and then turn off to the lodge will now be on your left-hand side after a small bridge
