Exclusive hire of venue from midday on Friday to midday on Sunday. Chalkney Water Meadows is the larger of the two venues accommodating up to 180 guests. The venue is hidden away among ancient woodland next to a picturesque river and a tree-lined lake. Humanist ceremonies take place on the willow tree pontoon with celebrations held in the giant hat tipis! It’s a stunning location for an outdoor wedding in Essex. There are 20 luxurious bell tents (and more if you have a big guest list!) for guests to glamp in so no need to worry about taxis. Each tent can sleep between one to four guests. In addition, there are two luxurious lakeside log cabins, making for a perfect wedding suite or place for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in on the morning of the wedding or for family accommodation. Teybrook Orchard is nestled at the heart of Teybrook Farm between an old fruit Orchard and a 20 acre woodland. Ceremonies take place in the woodland and celebrations follow in the beautiful Bohemian lined marquee which can accommodate up to 120 guests. There are 10 luxurious dwellings onsite for glamping accommodation for up to 40 guests, including bell tents, yurts, a shepherd’s hut and even a converted grain silo. You can also hire additional bell tents or let your guests to pitch their own tents. 20% discount for mid-week weddings. We have 2 different outdoor wedding venues available to hire from midday on Friday to midday on Sunday, so for 48 hours rather than a 1 day booking! Our prices start at £4,100 (for smaller sized weddings) and go up to £11,650 for larger weddings. This price includes a Browning Bros. venue manager to help you with your planning as well as a venue manager on the day to help run the wedding. Please enquire for further details.

Where do we even begin? Teybrook Orchard by Brown & Rose was everything we dreamed our wedding venue would be and so much more. From the very first time Garry and I walked into Teybrook Orchard, we felt completely at home. There is something incredibly special about this place. Hidden away amongst the trees, it feels romantic, intimate, relaxed and almost magical — like your own little world for the weekend. So many of our guests commented on how stunning the venue was and, more importantly, how lovely it felt. It has a warmth and homeliness that is really difficult to describe until you experience it. Our wedding genuinely felt like a fairy tale. The setting has such a natural WOW factor, while still feeling relaxed and personal rather than like a traditional wedding venue. The accommodation was beautiful, spotlessly clean and presented perfectly. Having ourselves and our guests staying there made the whole experience even more special and gave us memories that went far beyond just the wedding day itself. The entire team were professional, friendly and incredibly helpful, and everything on the day ran so smoothly. We were able to completely relax and enjoy our wedding because we knew everything was being taken care of. And then there is Gill Jenkins. ❤️ Calling Gill our wedding coordinator almost doesn't feel enough because by the time our wedding arrived, she genuinely felt like a friend. The amount of time, care and support she gave us throughout the planning was incredible. There were countless messages and voice notes backwards and forwards between Gill and me, and she was always there to answer questions, reassure me or help make an idea happen. On the wedding day she was there from beginning to end, but somehow never felt like “staff” — she felt like part of our wedding. At one point she was even on the dance floor dancing with me, which probably sums up perfectly the relationship we'd built! 😂❤️ Gill, thank you. Thank you for all the messages, the voice notes, the reassurance, the laughs and for caring about our wedding as much as you did. You played such a huge part in making our day what it was, and we genuinely feel that we have come away from this experience with a friend. We cannot recommend Brown & Rose and Teybrook Orchard highly enough. Five stars simply doesn't feel enough. If we could give a million, we would. If you're looking for somewhere romantic, magical, relaxed, different and full of personality, go and see Teybrook Orchard. If I could re-live our wedding day at Chalkney Water Meadows over again every week I would happily do it! It was incredible, magical, emotional, beautiful, joyful, hilarious... just everything! Gill is one of the warmest, funniest and most reassuring people I've ever met, and I can't thank her enough for bringing my festival-style wedding to life. No question was too big, too small, or too random and she just got us, our day was everything we hoped for and so much more. The whole team were amazing too, from Sarah's patience with our glamping guest bookings to the brilliant bar team who kept the drinks flowing all day and night. If you're not sure whether to book a Browning Bros wedding venue, I say DO IT! Trust me, you won't regret it - your day will be unforgettable, and the photos will be stunning! If you want a truly magical venue for your wedding, this is the place. We had the most perfect experience from first viewing all the way through to after our wedding day. When we booked we didn't think it could get more amazing, then we arrived the day before the wedding and saw the new marquee. It's so light, dreamy and feels massive! Anyone who loves the outdoors, will feel at home as soon as you drive through the gates and walk over the bridge. There is even the added bonus of adorable yurts to stay in too! A viewing here is an absolute must as the photos could never do it justice. We can't thank all of the Browning Bros staff (and most importantly Gill) enough for an absolutely perfect day for us and all of our guests 💚If you want a truly magical venue for your wedding, this is the place. We had an amazing experience with this wedding venue – it truly had everything we wanted for our special day. One of the things we loved most was how flexible it was; we were able to tailor our day exactly how we wanted while still staying within our budget, which made the whole planning process so much less stressful. A special mention has to go to Holly, the wedding coordinator. She was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and supported us every step of the way. We honestly can’t speak highly enough of her. On the day itself, she was calm, organised, and incredibly reassuring – even stepping in to cut our cake when one of our groomsmen started making a bit of a mess of it! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team and would highly recommend it to anyone planning their wedding.We had an amazing experience with this wedding venue – it truly had everything we wanted for our special day. When we first started looking at venues to host our wedding, we were so shocked to find how restrictive so many of them are - with very limited suppliers you are allowed to use. For us, our wedding was an expression of who we are and what we mean to each other, so a packaged deal to have a wedding the same as everyone else’s was not what we wanted. So when we told Browning Bros that we wanted to have a picnic where all our guests would be bringing their own food, we expected there to be some scepticism. But this isn’t what happened at all - our ideas were completely embraced. Gill was our Event Manager and took the time to really get to know us and what we wanted, so she really understood the brief. She knew the site so well that she could recommend ideas she knew we would love. And the day before we were talking about the decor, Gill suggested we got a pineapple (which sounds bizarre but was so perfect) and even went out and got one for us on the morning of the wedding to decorate the aisle. That meant so much to us! By that point she knew better than us what we would love, and that personal connection she had built with us was the reason it all came together. It goes without saying how beautiful the venue is, you’ve seen the pictures! Our guests just absolutely loved being there for the weekend. It is flat so great for older relatives and the facilities for the campers included a kitchen and showers meant that they all really enjoyed the experience and it didn’t feel like they were roughing it at any point. In fact, everyone that stayed over had the best time - even those who previously hated camping - they are converts! We are so grateful to Gill and the team who gave us the most magical, personal wedding we could have dreamed of. Our guests are going to be talking about it forever. Our wonderful wedding coordinator Gill was an absolute star. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail ran smoothly, from the ceremony to the evening celebrations. We got married a few weeks ago at Chalkney Water Meadows and we highly recommend the venue if you're looking for a wedding in the middle of the nature ! Holly and Gill were amazing and helped us before and on the special day. A magical weekendA magical weekend
My partner and I celebrated our wedding at this venue and it was nothing short of magical. It was so nice to camp amongst our family and friends and end the night sat around the fire. The yurts are so comfortable you wouldn't even know you're camping! They are kitted out with everything you might need, including an electric blanket for colder nights. The toilet and shower facilities were modern and clean, and created a great space for everyone to get ready together the morning of the wedding. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and crockery, and there was enough fridge and freezer space to keep us going all weekend. The Browning Bros staff were on hand to make everything run smoothly and were quick to resolve any issues that arose over the weekend. Chalkney Water Meadows by car: The post code brings you to a van garage called Colne Commercials but you will see the entrance to our meadows next to this garage called "Chalkney Water Meadows". Once you are through the gates, you will come down a track and find sign posts which will direct you to our beautiful tipis! Teybrook Orchard by car: The post code brings you the Teybrook Centre or Barn Brassiere. Make sure either are on your right hand side and carry on up the road 50-100m until you see a sign on the left hand side saying "Teybrook Orchard".
