Outstanding wedding location. The organisation was exceptional and the staff were so friendly.

What an outstanding place! Goregous grounds and house the café is also amazing surrounded by standard roses and cottage garden plants.

In short, Bridwell was absolutely the perfect venue for our wedding and exceeded all of our expectation - I would highly recommend it and would look beyond weddings and would love to have an event, reunion or other function where you'd get to enjoy the fantastic home and grounds.

We (Storybox Films) recently had the pleasure of filming a wedding at Bridwell Park. The house is beautiful and has the most amazing grounds. We'd love to return and shoot a wedding here. It's definitely one of the best wedding venues in Devon and makes for great wedding videography and photography.

In short, Bridwell was absolutely the perfect venue for our wedding and exceeded all of our expectation - I would highly recommend it and would look beyond weddings and would love to have an event, reunion or other function where you'd get to enjoy the fantastic home and grounds. When looking for our venue, my wife and I wanted one where we could add our own flavour into it and pick our different vendors to make it ours. This obviously requires more work, but it was important that we created an event that everyone would remember and could enjoy for the full weekend. With me being American, we had 50 people coming from abroad, so having a "very British" wedding was so important to us, and Bridwell offered the perfect setting. With my wife from Devon, it also made it easy for all of her friends and family to get to. We found Bridwell with about 8-months to the wedding and the staff made it so easy for us to communicate with them and answer any questions we had. We were absolutely thrilled that we'd be able to have almost 40 people stay at the house, which also helped us immensely with the cost, since our friends were happy to pay for their rooms for the weekend. We had loads of different vendors that we booked in for the event - caterer, band, lighting, dance floor, etc. - and Bridwell was always there to help with any questions. And of course...we had a lot of questions! They put us at ease with their responses and never gave added stress (and for those organising a wedding, it is stressful!). The day was absolutely brilliant. We had perfect weather for mid-September and the grounds and stags offered a perfect backdrop. What's great about Bridwell that even if it did rain, which were expecting, being outside was only an added bonus and it was easy to do it all indoors if needed. We had a rehearsal dinner on Friday night (American tradition) in the house, and that worked well, and then utilised the lovely chapel, the house / garden for some drinks and then orangery for the reception. All were perfect spots and allowed everyone to enjoy the entire grounds throughout the day. The wedding weekend couldn't have gone any better! Thanks so much to Lord Ivar for opening up his home and I'd love to think we could go back at some point and throw an amazing party (maybe our 25th anniversary).
