Gorgeous, relaxed, perfect venue
We had the most amazing day at Bachilton. The staff there care about making your day perfect for you. Can’t speak highly enough of Kayleigh. This is a Blank Slate venue that you can truly make your own. They have recommended suppliers for a reason, because they know what works best there. They do not request that you only work with their recommendations though. We used some of the recommended suppliers and some of our own. Our day went like clockwork and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

It was the only venue we looked at...
How did you two meet? We were part of the same bridal party but as Andrew had recently returned from living in the States we were only introduced a few days before the wedding in the gym. At the wedding we became inseparable and the rest is history. What was it that made you choose Bachilton Barn? It was the only venue we looked at, after seeing it for the first time we knew it was the one for us. The surroundings are beautiful, the spaces within the barn and the lovely cottages all fitted with what we needed. What was important to you when planning your wedding? Having the ability to do a lot of DIY aspects and including our dog. Tell us about your big day! What was your favourite part? Our ceremony was by far our favourite part! The room was stunning, Kayleigh’s Dad built our yellow triangle arch which was a talking point. Our local Humanist Brian was fantastic and had our guests in laughter or happy tears throughout. Having our dog there made it very special and comical too. If we could have a second favourite, our wedding piñata cake was a hilarious alternative to a cake cutting moment! What tips and tricks would you give to other couples planning their wedding? The biggest tip would be to make decisions based on what you want as a couple, rather than trying to please all your guests. From location, to food and everything in between, everyone will have something to say. However on the day, as long as you do what you wanted the only thing your guests will be speaking about is the amount of love in the room on the day. How are you enjoying married life? After 3 rearranged dates and getting married on the 4th time, the weight of the worry lifted as soon as we said ‘I do’, it has been wonderful to relax together over the last few weeks and look forward to a honeymoon some time in 2022.

The whole setting was everything we wanted.
How did you two meet? We met at Wetherspoons, Christmas Eve 2015 – of all places to meet! What was it that made you choose Bachilton Barn? The whole setting was everything we wanted. Relaxing, private and the twinkly lights around the venue just just made it feel so special. We could also personalise the venue to our style! It totally fitted with our cosy, autumnal wedding theme. What was important to you when planning your wedding? We wanted a space that was different and unique – also large enough for a good party! Tell us about your big day! What was your favourite part? Our favourite part was absolutely the evening reception – the dance floor was packed and felt like we were at a gig! Seeing all of our families and friends enjoying themselves was amazing after a tough couple of years. What tips and tricks would you give to other couples planning their wedding? A spreadsheet was my lifesaver! And to also be relaxed about the planning process. If the past couple of years is anything to go by (and after we had to reschedule twice!) is that it’s better to be open minded and to not worry too much about the smaller wedding related things – everything falls into place! How are you enjoying married life? Married life is amazing and we are looking forward to our honeymoon to South of France in June!

Actually booked the venue before we got engaged.
How did you two meet? Through work initially but properly on a separate night out which we bumped into each other… What was it that made you choose Bachilton Barn? I had been following bachilton on IG for many years and actually booked the venue before we properly got engaged. It was the ideal location being half way between both families and the exact vibe I was going for. What was important to you when planning your wedding? That everyone had a fun time and was a bit different to an average wedding. Tell us about your big day! What was your favourite part? I should say my favourite part was the ceremony but it was 100% the evening reception and being on the dance floor with all our loved ones. It had been a long time since many of us had been anywhere with music and a dance floor! What tips and tricks would you give to other couples planning their wedding? Lists!! Make lists and stick to your schedule. Otherwise it can become extremely overwhelming. How are you enjoying married life? Amazing! Looking forward to our next adventure together.

it was the most magical day!
We were married at Bachilton on Saturday and it was the most magical day! All staff were super helpful (shout out to Kelly, Eric, Roni and Gary) with absolutely everything, including rescheduling from last year right up until after the wedding. We were really lucky with the weather as it was December so figured we would miss the daylight but luckily we had a pink sky, some scenic fog, and even a full moon! We would absolutely recommend this stunning venue to anyone who is getting married. Once again thank you so much for making our day so special! Xxx
