What is your most memorable wedding?
My best friend, Leigh's wedding. It is because of Leigh that I started Paperlicious Oasis. She announced that I was to make her wedding stationery back in 2011.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classical, sophisticated, elegant, stylish and embellished.
What about your business are you most proud of?
After almost seven years of wondering whether I should or not start my own business, finally plucking up the courage to do so. Within two months of setting up Paperlicious Oasis, I had exhibited at 5 wedding fayres, met some truly wonderful suppliers, brides and grooms. I am actually doing this and have created wedding stationery for many happy couples. Seeing and hearing the reaction from my clients when I show them their wedding stationery.........that's what makes me proud.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's your special day, do what suits you. You don't have to have the latest 'en trend' theme, go with your own style. Bring out your own personalities in your wedding, be true to yourselves and just enjoy every single minute of it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
It has to be memorial tables, it's such a lovely and very personal touch to share photographs of your loved ones who can't be with you on your special day
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I love listening to all their fabulous ideas, seeing their plans come to life, hearing about every little detail of each couples special day. Feeling privileged to be part of that.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
The invitations themselves. Not only are they the first glimpse that guests have of your special day, they set the tone of what is to come. Plus how else would your guests know where and when you're getting married?
What is your best seller?
Our intricate laser cut invitations, pocket fold invitations and our mirrored table plans and easels are very popular.
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
The finishing touches such as delicate lace, beautiful ribbon or sparkly embellishment, the patterned papers or a special verse all add a touch of romance to our designs of wedding stationery.
