Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

My Most memorable wedding my own daughters wedding last year. It was the last wedding before the PM announced no large gatherings the next day. I had helped plan the wedding, but left the actual coordination of the day to a wedding coordinator. It was strange being on the other side for once! My family looked amazing, and I was the proudest Mother of the Bride.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Positive, Helpful, Friendly, Approachable, Amenable

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am very proud of my business because I have had the honour to help families to plan the biggest day of their lives. I am very proud to be included and be a part of the couples wedding day. A memory which I hope I will hold a small part of for many years to come.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

My Number 1 planning tip is, first of all book your venue and wedding officiant. Look at these two as the foundations of your day. When you have them secured on your available dates, you can then plan the rest of the wedding suppliers. From here onwards, you can get your caterer, band, etc.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

My favourite personal touch I have seen at a wedding, has to be a hand fasting ceremony. It is from an ancient marriage ritual some couples like to bring in to modern times. Cords are braided and are wrapped around the couples hands during the ceremony, this is where the term "tying the knot" comes from! It is a beautiful personal touch, and incredibly special as family members can be involved during the wedding ceremony.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I'd firstly have an informal consultation over the phone or via email to see if I was the right celebrant for them. If they wished to take the relationship further, we would then have an informal meeting over a coffee or zoom meeting to discuss the contents of the wedding script. This would be a great opportunity to get to know each other more and we would keep in touch all the way along the lead up to the big day.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

Excuse the not-wedding related story but..the most unusual thing I have had to plan was Santa & Elf doorstep visits during December 2020! As Christmas Grottos weren't allowed to open, my friend and I quickly arranged visits to bring Christmas joy to young families all across Greater Manchester. This wasn't quite a wedding business, but I still class them as events.
