I take time to really get to know you, listen closely and notice the small details. As a storyteller and creative writer, I capture your essence.
I lead the moment, but I’m not the centre of it. With a Master of Arts and nearly two decades of corporate and public-speaking experience, I hold space with quiet confidence.
I love real feelings, creative details, heartfelt stories and when everyone is present. You can feel the energy!
Symbolic rituals can add a lovely layer of storytelling to ceremony. You might be drawn to something familiar like handfasting, sand blending, unity candles, a quaich ceremony or something completely bespoke.
If you’d like to include an element but have no idea where to begin, I guide you. I adore coming up with unique ideas that connect to something real in your relationship. I recently created a symbolic ritual called ‘The Rest Is Still Unwritten’, inspired by a couple that love to journal. It’s not for everyone, but it’s for them.
If rituals aren’t your thing then that’s grand too! With a celebrant there are no rules about what a ceremony should look like, as long as it feels like you. We'll start with the things you love (and don't!) and go from there.
I've lived across the UK, Spain and America, home has never felt like one place. Travel, people and culture have shaped who I am and the way I approach my celebrancy. It’s shaped how I think about belonging and celebration. For me, a place matters because of the memories it holds, the feeling it creates and the people gathering there.
If you’re looking for a ceremony that is warm, thoughtful and relaxed, without the pressure to perform or do things just because it’s tradition or trendy - I’ve got you!
Come as you are. Every body is welcome here.
Life's a gift. Let's celebrate it.
I professionally trained with The Academy of Modern Celebrancy as an independent celebrant, which means my approach begins with you. Your beliefs, values, traditions and the way you want your ceremony to feel.
Your ceremony can be completely non-religious, humanist outlook, gently spiritual, include elements of faith or culture, or blend different traditions. Your ceremony is completely yours.
Not automatically. In Scotland, a qualified celebrant needs to belong to a faith or a belief group and have appropriate legal authorisation to be able to solemnise a marriage.
I’m working towards legal authorisation to solemnise marriages in Scotland, I am due to complete this by August 2027. Until that authorisation is formally in place, I’ll always be completely transparent about what applies to your date and the simple options we have. This could mean having one of my celebrant colleagues take care of the legal part on the day, or arranging with a registrar.
Whatever applies to your date, we’ll talk it through clearly from the beginning so there are no surprises. I’ll keep you right every step of the way. I’ve got you!
Planning your wedding outside of Scotland? I’d love to celebrate with you! Legal requirements vary around the world, so we’ll chat through what applies to your plans and keep the legal part nice and simple.
Yes, it's my thing! Renfrewshire is my base, but I travel across Scotland, the wider UK and beyond. I love hearing about your celebrations, wherever they are in the world.
Travel within 90 minutes of Bishopton, Scotland is included. If your ceremony is further afield, we'll chat through any additional costs before you book.
Scotland rooted. Celebrating worldwide!
My style is warm, thoughtful and relaxed. I lead the moment, but I’m not the centre of it.
I’m a creative writer and storyteller. With a Master of Arts and nearly two decades of corporate and public speaking experience, I hold space with quiet confidence.
I love real feelings, creative details, heartfelt stories and when everyone is completely present.
Whether it’s just the two of you or all your loved ones gathered around, I want everyone to feel comfortable, included and part of the celebration.
If you’re looking for a ceremony that is full of heart and soul, without the pressure to perform or do things just because it’s tradition or trending – I’ve got you!
I only book one ceremony per day, so you have my full attention.
If a genuine emergency meant I absolutely couldn’t be there, I would let you and your suppliers know straight away and work with my trusted celebrant network to arrange professional cover.
My ceremony scripts also include a clear running order and all the information needed to make any unexpected handover as smooth as possible. Hopefully it’s a plan we’ll never need!
Absolutely. If a rehearsal or site visit would be helpful, we'll build that into the planning. Some ceremonies really benefit from walking things through beforehand, while others might only need a clear running order and a calm check-in before everything begins. We'll work out what's best for you and your plans.
Absolutely. As an independent celebrant, I create ceremonies that include your beliefs, values and traditions.
We can include prayer, family blessings, cultural traditions, music with spiritual meaning, candles, rituals, signs and synchronicity, or none of those things at all.
If different beliefs, cultures or traditions are coming together, we can talk through what you’d like to include and find a way to honour them with care and respect.
Send me a message! We'll start with a wee chat so you can tell me what you're celebrating, ask any questions and get a feel for whether I'm the right celebrant for you. If you'd like to go ahead, an agreement and £100 booking deposit will secure your date.
Weddings and elopements start from £550, vow renewals start from £500.
For ceremonies, your date is secured with a signed agreement and £100 booking deposit with the remaining balance due 90 days before your ceremony.
If you’re booking closer to the date, I’ll adjust the payment schedule accordingly.
If I haven't answered your question here, send me a wee message. I'm always happy to help!
