We're Andrew and Isla Smith, a freelance husband & wife photography team based in Hastings, East Sussex. We met at work, got married 4 years later in 2017, and have been capturing weddings since 2019. We’ve been living on the coast since 2022, and by sheer coincidence, we now live only 10 minutes down the road from where we got married in Rye! Andrew massively got me into art after we met which I’m really grateful for, and Isla introduced me to Ibiza, where we’ve now shot a couple of weddings and still visit every year! We love shooting together and bringing out the best in each other. We are most often complimented on our professionalism and how comfortable and relaxed our clients feel in front of the camera. We believe that the best wedding photos are the ones that tell a story. Our approach is simple; achieve intimate, stunning pictures telling yours. We shoot mainly reportage-style which means we blend in and find the candid moments that happen throughout the day to capture the uniqueness that makes your wedding special. We highlight the different energies and subtle magic that each wedding brings, and also ensure more structured elements like family photos run smoothly. There can be such overwhelming expectations around a wedding day, so we do our part to make the process as calming, easy, and natural as possible, and make sure you get the photos you've always dreamed of. We have complementary styles, so you get a variety of shots. One of us capturing the big moments, while the other capturing small, intimate details. We're able to blend in and capture those candid moments that you might not even notice. We're not just a photographer and an assistant. We're a couple who live and work together, so we know how to work together seamlessly.
