What is your most memorable wedding?
A flooded cricket ground. Should have brought the wellies. None the less a beautiful event. Just goes to show you can't control the weather but you are in control of the love you share with those in the room.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Romantic, natural, genuine, elegant, fun
What about your business are you most proud of?
Started the business from scratch whilst being a mum of two young boys, I'm so proud of them for being so well adaptive to my new work routine and despite me being gone for long days on weekends.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan for you - It is so lovely to have all your friends and family around you on your big day but remember that this is your wedding and your marriage, make sure you do everything for you and if that means eloping to the Bahamas on your own so be it :)
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Empty chairs for those no longer with us in the ceremony always gets to me. It is such a beautiful touch and I love to include memories of that for my couples for their albums.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I love to speak to my couples via zoom or in person over a coffee before they reserve their date. This is to make sure we are the perfect fit for each other and share similar styles. I also love to hear all about their plans. Following this I will take a small deposit in order to reserve the date. About 6-8 weeks before the wedding date I will send my pre-wedding questionnaire which will allow the couple to tell me about their plans for the day in much more detail. I will offer to go over the questionnaire via zoom to make sure we have everything in order. Final payment is due 30 days before the wedding.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
without a doubt they should take a picture of them holding hands walking away from camera, I love to include this in the gallery as a symbol of their upcoming future which they will embark on together.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I have a wedding soon where there is a cockerpoo ring bearer. It doesn't get more original than that!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
An open mind, wellies & umbrellas. I will take my couples outside regardless of the weather, umbrella shots can look so elegant and I would even encourage them to run around in the rain (only if they feel braver enough).
Describe how you got into photography.
I have been a photographer since my university days in Cardiff. I was a triathlete so spent a lot of time cycling around the webs countryside. I used to take my camera in my backpack and off I went, the pictures were not the best but I loved it.
