Full Description
Boda Photography offers Wedding and Elopement Photography around Scotland (and beyond if you fancy a wee destination 'do'!) I started Boda Photography after many years (decades) of loving all things photography. I grew up in a house surrounded by photography, art books and a wee darkroom (to a kid this was the best room in the house!) which started me off from a very young age! I also have a huge passion for weddings - all those emotions, hugs, fancy frocks and accessories, stunning venues.. I love it and can't get enough! I limit the number of weddings I book each year to ensure each and every wedding gets the quality time and attention it deserves. Full day from £1100 - around 9 hours Half day and elopement packages available please as for quote (Prices correct as of 30 Aug 2021)

Absolutely Outstanding
“We did our research and came across Sarah and Boda and we are thrilled that we did. We found Sarah really friendly and fun and despite not being used to getting our photo taken she allowed us to enjoy our time together by trying fun things and being very conversational, but professional in terms of the pictures taken which were absolutely outstanding. She has really captured the joy of our big day, and we would recommend Boda to anyone.”

We Are Over The Moon
“We found Sarah on Facebook looking for photography services in the area and we are over the moon. I would recommend Sarah to anyone...We met the week before and everything was just so relaxed as was the day. Even our guests were mentioning on the day about how she would just be in the background capturing all the little moments. The photos are fantastic, we planned a surprise reveal and that went perfect. The more posey photos she gave great and relaxed direction. Thank you again Sarah!”

Captured The Day Perfectly!
“We can’t thank Sarah enough for being part of our special day. Her photographic talents captured the day perfectly. We really wanted natural photos, which is exactly what we got, beautiful images that reflect our personalities and the wedding itself. Once again thank you so much Sarah we are so very appreciative.”

Highly Recommended
“Sarah is an amazing photographer who makes you feel so much at ease on the day. I used to do wedding photography myself & detest getting my photo taken so we can be the worst type of clients. I didn’t even realise she had taken some of the shots when we got them. I love the organic nature & the non posed results of her work. The quality of her work is amazing & I not only got a great photographer, fantastic photos but gained a friend. Absolutely highly recommended & THANK YOU”

What is your most memorable wedding?

Prestonfield House in Edinburgh - just as weddings were unlocked in Sumer 2020 this micro wedding was total joy! It was a blazing sunny day, amazing couple, PEACOCKS roaming about the ceremony(whom are resident on the grounds) and a surprise gender reveal right after the main group photo which went perfectly! I still love looking at the surprise expressions on the families faces! What a joy to be a part of!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed // Adaptable // Organic // Fun // Professional

What about your business are you most proud of?

Keeping my business going during the pandemic whilst creating new meaningful personal connections with new couples.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make sure you take some time alone time in the evening - a wee stroll for 15 mins or escape the room for a bit to just catch up with each other.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Designated whisky bar and photograph in dedication to a sadly missed family member

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Its'a all about communication. I treat my couples as I would my dearest friends. I keep in touch with them regularly to find out how their plans are coming along offering help in all areas, even if not photography related. I love being able to help and advise where I can. Its all done in calls, zooms and face to face catch ups

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Confetti run! 3, 2, 1, goooooooo!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A recent wedding turned into a gender reveal announcement - during the large group shot to un-expecting families and friends!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I always have a very large white umbrella in my car just in case but if you do fancy rainy photos - bring the most awesomest wellies you can find! Let's make it a feature!

Describe how you got into photography.

I grew up with photography in the house (Dad and late Grandmother were Photographers) and returned to Uni to get my degree in my late 30s. After so many years having photography as a hobby, I turned it around into my dream job - and its now my profession! Best choice I have made! 3 years at Uni, 2 major awards won, 1 BA Degree = ZERO regrets!
