Mark Ewels Photography Full Description
I'd love to treat your wedding as special so you will find that my natural, “hands-off” and personal approach comes through in your images. I promise not to take over your big day or ask you to pose in a wooden looking way. In short, you’ll barely know I’m there. This means you can enjoy your wedding, knowing every precious moment is being captured as discretely as possible. Your wedding is probably the most important and wonderful day of your life, understandably you will want to choose a photographer who fits the vision for your special day. If you are looking for natural looking and highly creative photos by an award winning wedding photographer, who is discreet, unobtrusive and really cares, then I would love you to consider me.

We can’t recommend Mark enough!
We can’t recommend Mark enough! When we met with Mark, we knew that he would portray our story perfectly. He is extremely passionate about his work and goes to extreme lengths to get the perfect picture. Our guests told us that they regularly saw Mark jumping out of bushes or lying on the ground to get ‘that’ shot. Mark expertly blended into the background throughout the whole day capturing very natural shots and everyone was at ease around him. He also brought his personality into the pictures by experimenting with different lighting and techniques to get unique photos that really take your breath away. The pictures were back in just over a week and we were so, so happy with the end result. Mark had managed to capture some masterpieces and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We will have these photos for life and I’ll never get bored of them. We were also fortunate enough to be chosen to feature our wedding in A Suffolk Ceremony bridal magazine which we will treasure. Congratulations to Mark who won the EDP Bride Wedding Photographer of the Year!!

Mark truly captured the best day of my life to perfection.
As soon as we met Mark I knew straight away that he was the perfect wedding photographer. He is so passionate about wedding photography and he makes you feel as though your wedding is the only one he's got going on which makes you feel quite special. The quality of his photos are amazing and he truly captured the best day of my life to perfection. Our guests loved him as well and he was so easy to get on with. Mark would go all out to get the perfect photos and they really were perfect.

Mark was a fantastic wedding photographer...
Mark was a fantastic wedding photographer - no request was too large or too small and we absolutely love the final shots which perfectly show the laid back and chilled nature of our wedding, whilst not losing the sincerity of the occasion. Mark was discrete, helpful and a lovely man to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone wanting beautiful yet fun and authentic wedding shots.

Mark fitted seamlessly into our wedding...
Mark fitted seamlessly into our wedding, in fact my husband and I had entirely forgotten he was there when the food was being served (he did get fed we promise!) as well as when he said goodbye! Everyone commented on how beautiful the photos he posted were and we are so pleased with them.

Mark is simply a lovely guy who loves what he does. The excitement he exudes is wonderful and he really knows how to put you at ease. He's willing to go the extra mile for the perfect shot and it really shows in the final photographs we got through the post. Not only was there a huge selection but he really explored every opportunity for shots of the venues, the little bits and pieces as well as 'hidden' shots of us. He would always be top of our list for recommendations.

From the first time we met Mark...
From the first time we met Mark, it was obvious he absolutely clear that he loved what he does, but also that our wedding would also be special to him as well. He never made it seem like 'just another wedding'. Throughout the whole process we couldn't have been anymore relaxed, and Mark couldn't have been anymore helpful, or made us feel anymore relaxed. Mark was absolutely wonderful and I'd love to do the whole thing again!!!

Frequently Asked Questions
(10)

What is your most memorable wedding?

Kerry & Reece's Woodhall Manor wedding in Suffolk... beautiful wedding, lovely people, great atmosphere and lots of great photo opportunities... oh and the wedding cake tasted amazing

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, Emotional, Relaxed, Creative, Unobtrusive

What about your business are you most proud of?

I set no time limits with my full day wedding collections so no leaving when the cake is cut or after the first dance. I'm your photographer for as long as you wish on your special day to tell your complete wedding day story.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

It's a little cliche to say but your wedding photos are for life... whether you choose me or not make sure your photographer matches your vision for your special day

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I think it has to a couple who made their own wedding rings.... a truly unique and personal touch

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I believe that the photographer is not at a wedding to dominate the day so finding the balance between telling the wedding day story in a discrete and unobtrusive matter and creative shots with the couple that I trust they will treasure for a lifetime is important to me

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Each wedding is unique and as such there will be different special moments for each couple. Its not about working to a formula and taking a must have photo...its about making it personal and special.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A private and personal moment where the bride chose to breast feed her baby just after the wedding ceremony. The groom was present throughout and the image was tastefully shot using natural light from the window of an old Abbey in Norfolk where the service was held.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrella's.....seriously. A little bit of rain shouldn't ruin anyone's wedding....we can still have fun and capture lots of special moments come rain or sunshine.

Describe how you got into photography.

I brought a 'happy snapper' camera and got hooked from there on. I have developed my style over the years with numerous training workshops include the Nikon School of Excellence and training workshops with some of the worlds top wedding photographers including Ross Harvey and Sam Hurd.
