The first news dates back to the 12th century, with written testimonies from the year 1140 reporting the presence of the Inn as a stopping point. In 1820 the inn ceased its original role when it was purchased by Nicola Gerbore who transformed it into a farm. The complex, which underwent various transformations over time, still retains a cast iron slab, currently visible above the fireplace in the restaurant room which reproduces the 18th century heraldic shield of the Archdeacon of Aosta René Ribitel.
