Hotel Baglio Basile

Weddings & Banqueting Hotel Baglio Basile was born from an ancient noble residence built back in 1862 in Petrosino, the Baglio Basile. The original structure has been completely renovated and brought back to its former splendour, the storerooms and barrel room of the ancient baglio transformed into cosy and functional hotel rooms and halls. All the rooms retain the typical structures and materials of late 19th-century Sicilian buildings. The 'Atmosphere' rooms in the ancient area of the Hotel Baglio Basile, while retaining their original beauty, are equipped with every modern comfort. They overlook an ancient courtyard and are named after flowers and plants typical of the Sicilian territory. They serve the ancient area: the 'Paladino' room, the 'Don Gaetano', the 'Sala Velaggio' and the 'Bottaia'. An environment of rare beauty is the ancient 'Bottaia': a room created from the renovation of an ancient underground Sicilian cellar, where the lords stored their precious Marsala wine. The entrance staircase, whose steps are carved into the rock, is perfectly intact and functional.
