I'm Alen, the filmmaker behind Cupid Films. For six years I've been filming weddings across Ireland and I still shoot and edit every one myself. My style is a blend of cinematic, romantic and documentary. Real moments, beautifully shot. I stay present but unobtrusive, so you can be fully in your day while it's captured around you.
What I'm after is a film that still holds up in twenty years. Not one that looks like the year it was made. No trends, no gimmicks, just your day, told properly.
Weddings are filmed on multiple cameras as standard, with drone coverage where weather allows. You'll receive a cinematic highlight film alongside longer documentary and ceremony edits, the vows, the speeches, the first dance, and the small things you'll want back later.
Finished films are delivered within 8–12 weeks. I take a limited number of weddings each year. Available throughout Ireland, and travelling for destination weddings.

How do we secure our date?
A €200 deposit. It's the same across every package. Once it's paid the date is yours and I turn down any other enquiry for it. The balance isn't due until closer to the wedding.
When will we get our films?
Within 8–12 weeks of your wedding. You'll hear from me before that with a sneak peek, so you're not waiting in silence.
What's your filming style?
Cinematic and Documentary, blended. I'm not there to stage your day. I'm there to catch it as it happens and cut it into something that plays like a film. Above all, I keep it timeless. No trends, no heavy grading that dates it. Your film should still feel right in twenty years, not tell you what year it was made.
Will we have to pose for the camera all day?
No. Beyond the portraits your photographer sets up, I stay out of the way. Most couples tell me afterwards they forgot I was there, that's the aim.
Will it be you filming, or someone we've never met?
Me. I shoot and edit every wedding myself. For larger weddings I bring in a second videographer I've worked with many times, and I brief them properly beforehand.
Do you travel?
Throughout Ireland as standard, and I take a small number of destination weddings each year. Tell me where you're getting married and I'll come back with a figure.
Do you fly a drone?
Yes, weather and site restrictions permitting. Some venues and airspace don't allow it, so I never promise aerials until I've checked the location.
How do you work with our photographer?
Easily. We're after the same moments from different angles, and a quick conversation on the morning sorts out the rest. If you haven't booked a photographer yet, I'm happy to suggest people I've worked well with.
