We have a team dedicated to making your day memorable for you - a kitchen brigade led by our Executive Chef Wesley Bearpark that delivers really delicious food, a banqueting team that knows just how to make everything run smoothly and a Wedding Planner that will guide you gently through to your wedding or civil ceremony, so that you get the day you've always dreamed of. There are a range of packages to choose from; the very popular Classic with its Arrival Reception, Banquet including half bottle of wine per guest and Evening Buffet, to the Signature with its sparkling wine arrival reception and the ultimate package; the Elegance with its Cocktails & Canapés Arrival and choice menu options - there’s something to suit every taste and budget. All of our packages also include sparkling room décor – your choice of white chair covers or silver and black velvet chairs, crisp table linen, elegant silver candelabras and coloured mood lighting, including half bottle of wine per guest and a Complimentary Sweet Cart

We would not have changed a thing. Sinead, Deirdre and manager Colin were so friendly and accomadating and helped us plan the most special day. They were super nice and so easy to deal with and everything ran seamlessly on the day. From the decor, the staff, the food, the accomodation..everything was perfect and even better than we could have wished for. Our guests are still raving about the food and the service. We are beyond delighted that we chose the Ormonde to celebrate our wedding. I've always believed that you'll get a true sense of what a venue is like when you see how they treat other suppliers and am happy to say Kilkenny Ormonde comes up trumps. I was there from the morning for bridal preps right until the dancing and they couldn't have been more helpful. Dinner at the bar hit the spot too 🙂 I was the videographer for a recent wedding at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel. The food was just amazing I could not fault it The wedding team was fantastic they had everything under control. We could honestly sit back and enjoy our day knowing everything was being looked after by these amazing people ! I would highly recommend the ormonde !!! Anything me or our bridal party asked for was never a issue they got us everything we required There was tiny tiny things that just went a stray as in We had the fish cake starter and there was supposed to be a chorizo cake with it but some how that didn't make the plate on the day. But in saying that the managers were all apologies and the food was still delicious! The ballroom was breathtaking, everything was done and set up just as we wanted. We were planning our wedding from abroad, but nothing seemed like a trouble at all. Food was amazing everything from arrivals to the afters buffet and it was plenty of it. Bridal suite was amazing and we even received little bag from the hotel with cards and voucher. Our guests are still talking about how welcome they felt and how their every need was attended. Our civil ceremony room was fantastic, we had red carpet in the room and lanterns on each side of the Aisle. We also had few songs for the entrance, signing and leaving. Nothing was a trouble for their staff. Massive thank you to Kate and Stephen and all the staff on the day who were so efficient and friendly.We chose Ormonde Hotel because of it's fantastic location, friendly staff and amazing food. Our guests are still talking about how welcome they felt and how their every need was attended. I believe all weddings at Kilkenny Ormonde have been so special, we love the bond we create with couples and their families. It is only the start of a journey together as very often couples return for future celebrations.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
To ensure you both have some time together during the wedding day, just the two of you. Be it during the car journey from ceremony to hotel or a little breather after photos. It is a lovely busy time so don't forget to check in with one another.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A recent bride made her own dress, so beautiful. Another couple had their own table numbers from 1 to 10. Each sign was a photo of the bride and groom individually at the age of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc........it was incredibly cute and a great talking point at tables.
