It's hard to choose, every wedding here has been special. What is common to them all is that the couples have been relaxed and enjoyed having time to be with all their guests. I do love seeing the wedding party having an early morning swim in the ocean - everyone comes back from the beach invigorated and joyful.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Less is more! Keep things simple, you and your guests will remember the joy, love and emotion of the day and not the superfluous and costly trinkets that often go to waste.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have a special cut flower garden where we grow our own flowers for the house and wedding tables. Couples love seeing us out early in the morning picking the blooms then arranging them for the celebrations.

So many to choose from - the cove at the bottom of the lane or the base of Galley Head Lighthouse, the walled garden and orchard, under the ancient sycamore or the old bell tower in the cobbled courtyard.....

Local Union Hall smoked salmon on homemade buckwheat blinis with our own mayonnaise and coastal herbs.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
A huge cheese and charcuterie board featuring West Cork cheese, salamis, homemade crackers and dips, chutneys and fruit.
What is Dunowen House most unique feature?
It's links to rock and roll royalty, being the former home of the Jimi Hendrix bass guitarist, Noel Redding, for 30 years. Noel's ashes are also interred in the garden.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The renovation work we undertook to turn this derelict old house and gardens into a luxurious and characterful private estate.
