The Venue Nailed It.From the moment we booked our wedding at the Cavan Crystal Hotel until the day itself the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and so well presented. Every detail was perfect on the wedding day. Walking into our reception room took our breath away. The room was beautifully decorated, with elegant table centrepieces, flowers and draping at the entrance creating such a classy and welcoming atmosphere. One of the standout touches was our personalised seating plan, which was designed by the hotel to match our wedding invitations perfectly. We loved the attention to detail. We also loved the sweet cart and crisp wall created by our wedding coordinator which was a huge hit with our guests and added something really special to the evening. Our wedding coordinator Jordan was outstanding from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he was always just a phone call or email away, responding so quickly to every question we had. He made the entire planning process completely stress free and we always felt like we were in safe hands. Every member of staff was so friendly, professional and genuinely happy to help. The waiters were incredibly attentive throughout the day making sure everything ran smoothly and that our guests were well looked after. The food was absolutely divine. We've had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious every course was and many said it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had. The hotel later put on a wonderful evening buffet there was no shortage of food. One thing we really appreciated was that there were no unexpected bills or hidden charges the morning after our wedding. We've heard stories from other couples getting surprise costs at different venues the next morning, so it was such a relief that everything was exactly as agreed. I think the best thing about picking the Cavan Crystal for your wedding reception over a castle or country house that seems to be popular at the moment with couples is the integrity and transparency of this hotel. There are no hidden costs, no complaints from guests about shortages of food, excellent food because the standards are already in place as the hotel caters all year round and no complaints of shortages of wine at the tables. What we expected is what we got and more. A lovely suprise was that we had canapés at our drinks reception along with the food we had booked so that little extra didn't go unnoticed. It's the personal touches that you don't get in some venues like the multiple sit downs with your wedding coordinator and the feeling of never being rushed it felt like we were given endless time and attentiveness in those visits and we were asked questions about the day that we hadn't even thought of so nothing was missed. We always left laughing and on such a high from visiting the hotel because our wedding coordinator Jordan had us in fits of laughter and when you are super busy and stressed with all the planning conversations like that bring you back into the moment and you remember that it's supposed to be fun and exciting and you feel relieved because you know they have it all under control. The week of the wedding is so busy and it's hard to find time to fit everything in we were worried about extras that we wanted set up in the room but after a quick phone call with Jordan we dropped everything off and they created it all for us and that was something I had never heard of before. I had heard of Brides and Grooms putting things in the room the day before but our wedding coordinator had the best attitude he was very much like how can I help you and I think that is the true reflection of this hotel and this is why I am so glad we booked with them because we were looked after right up until we left the next day. We honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue or team to celebrate our special day. Thank you for making our wedding everything we dreamed of and more. We had an amazing time, the hotel itself looked fabulous with the Christmas decorations, but that aside, the staff were extremely helpful to both us and our guests. The food was excellent and the bridal suite is amazing. Special mention to Irene for all her help during in the build up and on the night!
