A family-owned and run castle hotel, Cabra Castle hosts only one wedding per day, ensuring you receive the personal attention that you require and deserve, on such a memorable day. From the moment you first arrive, you and your guests will be treated like royalty!
On arrival, you will be greeted by a warm and personal welcome from our resident Irish Wolfhounds, Oscar & Claddagh.
With breath-taking views, Cabra Castle offers a romantic setting for wedding photography. The castle’s interior exudes old-world elegance and charm and provides an ideal atmosphere for fairy-tale moments. Hand-painted ceilings, exquisite antiques, Gothic-style leaded windows and the grand staircase all contribute to the unique venue and the ultimate intimate backdrop for your wedding.
Cabra Castle can cater for larger weddings of up to 260 guests. Waterford Crystal chandeliers, five-tiered golden candelabras and rich table linens all grace our ballroom and continue the theme of timeless elegance and pure romance on each wedding day.
With a long-established reputation for fine food and wines, we offer a host of different menus from which to choose. Using only the finest of locally-produced ingredients, we guarantee a superb dining experience for all our guests.

It makes me emotional even thinking about the amazing few days we had. From the brilliant Gemma, Jamielee, Emma, Jenna Marie and the whole wedding team, who showed us such kindness and helped us every step of the way, to the lovely Audrey and Linda, who looked after us so attentively on the day and during the meal, to the always-friendly reception staff, and a special shout-out to Alannah, who looked after us during our Day 2 celebrations in the Granary. Alannah, you are so genuinely sweet and kind. You really looked after me in particular and made sure I was settled and happy with everything. Thank you for your calming energy. It was so appreciated at a time like the day after your wedding! :) We had a particularly difficult few months leading up to the wedding, but the staff were so supportive and made everything run so smoothly that the anxiety seemed to melt away when the day finally arrived. Our guests have commented on the food, the service and everyone’s willingness to help. So many have said it was the most amazing wedding venue they’d ever been to, which is a testament to the wonderful atmosphere created by the incredible staff. We will never forget how magical you made everything for us, and we would recommend the castle to absolutely everyone. You have some truly special people on your team!
