The Priory of Las Canals is a natural cirque of twelve hectares, with its wooded park, its streams, its springs, its waterfalls and its vineyards in the heart of Aveyron, 20 minutes from Rodez. This is a true paradise.
In the Middle Ages, the Boissière family held the place until, in 1720, the bishopric of Rodez acquired it in order to install its monks. The building dates from this time. After the revolution and the monks dispersed, the Count of Bonald became the master of this former Dominican priory.
25 years ago, Odette and Georges renovated the residence, leaving traces of the past thanks to the walls of the building, the decorative elements, pulpit, prie-Dieu, liturgical decor which religiously match the tuff vaults, the weathered parquet floors and Renaissance fireplaces.
