Located in the heart of Poitiers, Villa Emma is a private 5-hectare estate where centuries-old cedar trees, elegant gardens and contemporary event spaces come together to create an authentic French wedding setting.
Just a short distance from the city centre and the TGV train station, the venue combines the atmosphere of a private countryside estate with the convenience of a city location. Direct trains from Paris or Bordeaux can reach Poitiers in around 1h20–1h40, making Villa Emma particularly easy to access for couples and guests travelling from abroad.

Planning a wedding in France from another country can feel overwhelming. At Villa Emma, our team is here to make the experience simple and personal, from the first conversations to the wedding day itself.
Depending on your needs, our all-inclusive approach brings together the venue, catering, furniture, styling, stationery, floral design and day-of coordination, with a dedicated english speaking event planner guiding you throughout the process.
We also work with trusted local suppliers and can help you build the right team around your wedding, while remaining flexible if you already have suppliers or specific ideas in mind.
Your own French garden wedding
The estate offers several spaces to create a complete wedding celebration. The contemporary Orangerie provides a bright and elegant setting for dinner and dancing, with professional sound and lighting, a lounge bar and a large dance floor.
Outside, five hectares of landscaped grounds provide beautiful settings for a ceremony, cocktail hour, photographs and outdoor celebrations, surrounded by mature cedar trees and greenery. A covered cocktail area also offers additional flexibility in case of changing weather.
One of Villa Emma's most distinctive features is its connection to flowers and the gardens. Flowers are grown on the estate and will become part of the wedding design, creating floral arrangements that feel genuinely connected to the season and the place. The vegetable garden and orchard also offer a more intimate side of the estate and beautiful opportunities for photographs.
A destination wedding without the logistical stress
Villa Emma is particularly well suited to couples who want to experience a French wedding while having a local team they can trust. The team will help coordinate the different elements of the celebration and share its knowledge of local suppliers and the Poitiers region. Atlantique, one of our event planners, has lived in England, Scotland, and other parts of the world. She understands the expectations of English couples having worked at the Fife Arms Hotel in Scotland for over three years, where she organised all their events. The Fife Arms is a luxurious, award-winning hotel, renowned for its art collection, and world-class hospitality.
Four charming guest rooms are available in the property's main house, with their own ensuit. The rest of your guests will find plenty of accommodation options in Poitiers city centre, just a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute walk through the charming streets of the old town.
The venue also offers extensive on-site parking and is close to both the TGV station and Poitiers-Biard Airport (direct flights from London all year long).

Villa Emma is ideally located near the city center of Poitiers, in the Vienne department. This exceptional venue is situated less than 5 minutes away from the train station and less than 10 minutes from the PIS airport (direct flights from London and more).

What are the reception capacities of the event spaces at Villa Emma?
Villa Emma offers several modular spaces:
- The 420 m² L'Orangerie room can accommodate up to 300 guests for a seated meal and 420 for a cocktail reception.
- The two covered areas next to L'Orangerie add 250m² of shelter for the drinks reception in case of bad weather
- The 5-hectare park is ideal for a secular ceremony, a wine reception or an outdoor cocktail party.
- The cocktail area with covered terrace allows you to enjoy the park in all seasons, whatever the weather.
- A Parking than can welcome up to 300 cars
What services and amenities are offered for wedding organization?
Villa Emma offers an all inclusive package with personalized support from a dedicated wedding planner. Our caterer tailors the menu to your needs, including halal or kosher options, with no corkage fee. The team oversees every detail to ensure the success of your event, including decor, stationery, all furniture, and the necessary technical equipment (projector, microphones, smoke machine, etc.).
The only thing we don’t include: alcoholic beverages. But don't worry, we partner with local wine merchants who offer tastings and take back unopened bottles.

Is there accommodation available on-site for guests?
Yes, the 4 rooms in the Villa are available for rent, offering a total of 8 beds.
Each room has its own bathroom with a bathtub. You can also enjoy an intimate breakfast in the fully wood-paneled 19th-century dining room.
For the rest of your guests, the city center of Poitiers (5 minutes by car, 15 minutes on foot) offers a wide range of hotels, guesthouses, and other accommodations.
