Spaces and capacities
Several spaces are at your disposal to organize your festivities in the best conditions. With its large bay windows and the view of the gardens, the pretty Préau will be ideal for your reception or your secular ceremony.
The 500 m2 Victor Hugo room will allow you to accommodate up to 350 people seated with a dance floor.
The courtyard, the rose garden, the flower garden or even the woods will also be a place of choice if you wish to enjoy a hot summer day for your reception or your secular ceremony.
History
The Domaine de la Traxène is named this way because of the small stream that has its source at the foot of the imposing building. Built in 1692, the estate was for a long time a vast agricultural exploitation of 400 hectares.

The total rate depends on the season. The rate is from Friday morning 9am to Monday morning 9am for the common areas and from Friday 4pm to Monday 9am for the private areas. The rate includes the two reception rooms with tables and blue chairs, the 80 beds (bed linen and towels provided), the leisure facilities (swimming pool, laser game, pétanque ground, obstacle course, football pitch), a sound system in the two reception rooms and a wooded area of 11 hectares with a wood, a rose garden, a park and a pond.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Every wedding is unique, but one of the most memorable was that of a couple who transformed the estate into a fairytale garden inspired by Jane Austen's novels. A ceremony under the century-old trees, a reception in the chandelier-lit Victor Hugo Room, and a brunch the next day in the rose garden… a true fairy tale! Their guests left with stars in their eyes, and so did we.

My advice: You must take the time to discuss and list what matters most to both of you: the place, the atmosphere, the food, the guests, the music, or a detail that is symbolic to both of you. Once these points are clarified, they will guide you in all your decisions and help you manage your budget efficiently, without getting lost in less important details. It’s your day, so stay aligned with what truly reflects your story and your desires!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One couple incorporated nods to their roots into their decor: tablecloths embroidered by their grandmother, local flowers, a trilingual menu for their international guests, and a secular ceremony punctuated with memories shared by their loved ones. It was deeply personal, and incredibly moving.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
From May to September, our rose garden allows you to take beautiful romantic photos. In autumn, the falling leaves of our purple beeches allow for unique shots.

Discretion is a must! We've had the pleasure of hosting a few public figures, but confidentiality is part of the experience we offer all our couples.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Mini foie gras tatins with caramelized apples—a sure hit at cocktail parties, served in our courtyard overlooking the gardens.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
A wedding cake revisited in a crispy millefeuille style with Madagascar vanilla. A pure delight, as beautiful as it is delicious.
