Maison Elsa Barois – Modular wedding dresses, Lille
For ten years, Elsa Barois has been designing wedding dresses that follow the day, not the other way around.
The idea: you don’t choose one fixed dress, you choose a set. A top, a skirt, and pieces you add or take off: cape, sleeves, veil, overskirt. The cape for the ceremony, the sleeves for the cocktail hour, a lighter dress for dancing. Little by little, you lighten up.
What we offer
- Six modular collections: a new collection comes out every year. The latest are CALANQUES (graphic and structured, shot in Marseille) and SAINT-RÉMY (freer and more fluid, born in the Alpilles). Every piece combines with the others, so you build an outfit that looks like you.
- Made-to-measure: Elsa starts from a blank page with you. Sketches, fabric choices, fittings: the dress is built together, from start to finish.
- Civil ceremony collection: shorter, simpler outfits for the town hall, in the same spirit.
- In-house alterations: every dress is altered and fitted in our Lille atelier by our team of seamstresses, right up to the final fitting.
- Accessories: capes, sleeves, veils, birdcage veils, tulle and lace overskirts.
- Colorimetry by Elsa: a one-to-one colour analysis session using fabric draping (clothing, make-up, hair, accessories). Elsa is trained in image consulting.
