Stewart Creek is a full-service mountain clubhouse in the Bow Valley, 100 km west of Calgary, built inside a wildlife corridor where elk and deer cross the course regularly. The club hosts only one full wedding a day, for a maximum of 90 guests, so the clubhouse and grounds are yours.
Outdoor ceremonies run year round under a covered tent with patio heaters and string lighting, on a three-hour rental between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. From November to April the ceremony can move indoors instead, to a room with wooden beamed ceilings, expansive windows and a stone fireplace, with the indoor or outdoor call made at 9:00 AM the day before. Every ceremony includes chairs, two rustic wooden mountain arches, tables for signing and decor, a speaker for your own playlist, a 40-minute rehearsal with decor drop-off, and setup and takedown of basic decor. Dogs are welcome at outdoor ceremonies with a handler keeping them on a lead.
Receptions are held in the private dining room, which has a real wood-burning fireplace and an attached patio facing the Rockies. It seats up to 90 on round or long banquet tables, dressed with white linens, napkins, china, glassware and flatware, with separate tables for the guest book, gifts, cake and favours. A podium with wireless microphone, a dance floor, all service staff, printed menus for plated dinners and SOCAN licensing are included, along with a four-hour courtesy shuttle home. Last call is 12:45 AM and the last shuttle leaves at 1:30 AM.
Catering is entirely in house. Plated dinners let guests choose one of three entrees on the night from a printed menu at each place setting, buffets include artisan bread, salads, three mains and chef-inspired desserts, and cocktail hour and late-night menus are available alongside a full bar. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergy-sensitive and children's meals are all made to order.
There is no accommodation on site, but the club works with a selection of Canmore hotels and shares its recommendations once you have booked. There is on-site parking and cars can stay overnight if guests take the shuttle, and photographs are welcome around the tent and grass and at the signature Hole 1 tee box once golfers have finished. A wedding licence and officiant are not included.

Our October wedding with met with cold temperatures and a little bit of snow, but the ceremony tent was perfect to keep guests warm and protected from any elements. Our coordinator Summer went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were so helpful. We had so many guests comment on how incredible the venue was. Would recommend 1000/10!Stewart Creek was amazing! I can't recommend it enough! Taylor and Summer were so fantastic to work with, they had absolutely everything thought of and did such a good job organizing the day, helping with our decorations, and managing our guests. - PPaige30/09/2025Brilliant!Brilliant!I got to witness the union under God of my strappingly handsome nephew, Jose and his beautiful woman Cassie. The ceremony was beautiful. I highly recommend that everyone witneess the union of two loved ones with the gorgeous canadian rocky mountains as the backdrop at least once in their life. The wild mushroom wellington was divine and left a medley of flavours dancing freely on my tongue.. The reception was wild! I may be aging, but my dance moves sure aren't! Overall 10/10 experience. From the outdoor tent space, to the indoor and balcony area. Second, their food is exceptional and the drinks are reasonably priced compared to other venues we looked at. Third, the staff are great. Our wedding coordinator Taylor answered all of my (many) questions and worked with us to accommodate where they could. The ceremony and reception spaces were set up exactly how I’d envisioned! How many guests can you seat?
Stewart Creek seats a maximum of 90 guests for both the ceremony and the reception. Only one full wedding is hosted per day, so the clubhouse and grounds are yours for the day.
Can we get married outdoors?
Yes, and year round. The outdoor ceremony tent is covered and comes with patio heaters and string lighting, on a three-hour rental between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
What happens if the weather turns?
The ceremony tent is covered and heated, so rain or snow is not a reason to move. From November to April an indoor ceremony is also available, with the indoor or outdoor decision made at 9:00 AM the day before.
What is included in the reception?
Complete dining room setup with white linens, napkins, china, glassware and flatware, round or long banquet tables, a podium with wireless microphone, a dance floor, all service staff, printed menus for plated dinners and SOCAN fees. A four-hour courtesy shuttle to get guests home is included too.
Can we bring our own caterer or alcohol?
No. All food and beverages are catered by Stewart Creek and all drinks are purchased through the club, with host, guest-purchased, subsidised and drink-ticket bars available.
Can we bring our own cake?
Yes, as long as it comes from a commercial bakery. Staff will cut and serve it for a fee of $2 plus service charge and GST per guest.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergy-sensitive and children's meals are all available and made to order. These need to be pre-selected in advance.
Are dogs allowed at the ceremony?
Yes, at outdoor ceremonies, as long as they have a handler and stay on a lead at all times. Pets are not permitted inside the clubhouse unless they are certified service dogs.
Is there accommodation and parking?
There is no accommodation on site, but the club partners with a selection of Canmore hotels and shares its recommendations once you have booked. On-site parking is available and cars can be left overnight if guests take the shuttle, collected by 9:00 AM.
What time does the night end?
Reception space opens at 5:00 PM, last call is at 12:45 AM and the last shuttle pick-up is at 1:30 AM. Decor can be collected the following morning at 9:00 AM.
