Shekinah Retreat Centre

The Timber Lodge is one of Western Canada's largest timber frame buildings. Built using the timbers from an old grain elevator, the Timber Lodge not only has cultural and historical connections, it also requires very little in the way of decorating to help make your planning simpler. Your ceremony can be performed indoors amongst the impressive timbers or outdoors in the amphitheater with a beautiful, rustic stonework stage as the focal point. One of the advantages of Shekinah is that you don't have to rent a separate venue for your ceremony and reception. It can all happen in one beautiful facility. In addition, we have 17 bedrooms so that guests can stay overnight, after your wedding. This is a great option for Grandpa and Grandma, people who have driven long distances, and those who have danced long into the night. We believe that your wedding is one of the most important days in your life; it should be shared with your friends, family, and other people that you love. The Timber Lodge at Shekinah is a space where you can reconnect and celebrate with each other in a beautiful, natural setting.
