Cedar Haven is a wedding venue in East Sooke, Vancouver Island, Canada. 2017 was our first full year of magical weddings in the woods! Built with love by the family who has lived here for the past 24 years. Sarah and Bruce the owners of the property had their wedding here in 2000 so they are thrilled other people want to do the same.
Cedar Haven was a vision born from a styled wedding shoot. We thought wow, other people might really love to get married here as well. The beautiful rain forest setting gives off some major twilight vibes.. OR game of thrones... OR fern-gully.. Which ever you think suits it best. Turns out its perfect and everyone is in love with this outdoor cathedral even those not so enthralled by the wedding planning process! The property has an tranquil feel and is the perfect place to feel connected to nature.
The ceremony site has accessible power for lights and sound equipment. You can dress it up or keep with the natural theme either way is gorgeous! Go totally glam or DIY; pinterest it up!
We have two rooms for each side of the party to prepare before the walk down the aisle. We have the tree top suite usually reserved for the brides with an outdoor deck amongst the trees and a secondary space for the other half of the wedding party.
At present offer afternoon cocktail receptions with a forest space for snacks and lawn games or a tented area.
We currently aren't offering planning services but we do offer day of coordination as an add on to our packages.
Close to the Sooke prestige hotel, the East Sooke community hall, Metchosin Community hall and other reception and lodging locations. Closely located to East Sooke park for other photography options and can also offer Photography services with Rivkah Photography, who lives on the property and grew up here and whos photos you see featured on the site.

We cannot say enough about how amazing this venue is. A true fairytale in the forest spot. The more amazing part are the people who run this venue. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure my covid wedding was special! She setup a little area for my family to sit out of the rain and helped with the setup of my decor! There are so many things included with the venue that it's truly a great value. Sarah doesn't believe in charging her brides for extra things such as decor items etc.We had our wedding here this past Saturday.
