Bloedel Conservatory

The Bloedel Conservatory is a lush domed paradise, located within beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park, at the highest point in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, offering an ideal setting for intimate wedding ceremonies, marriage proposals and photoshoots. It features a climate-controlled environment with exotic plants, birds, and fish, available for exclusive use before or after public hours. Facilities and Capacity

The designated event area within the Bloedel Conservatory is standing room only and can accommodate a maximum of 50 people for a wedding ceremony. Food and/or beverage is not permitted inside or outside the facility. This picturesque setting is wheelchair accessible, and washrooms are available inside the Conservatory. Pay parking is available throughout the park and is operated by EasyPark.

Services Offered

Photography and special events can only take place before we open or after we close to the public. The rental rate for the Bloedel Conservatory remains the same for a morning or evening booking. Evening rentals may be extended for an additional hourly fee, to a maximum of 10pm.

Included in your rental is 2 hours of exclusive use of the venue, admission for a maximum of 50 people. This number includes yourselves, children and all vendors staying on site. A liaison staff person for the course of your event, to provide facility access and to manage facility equipment. As well as a registry table, the use of the facility sound system with aux input and access to a power source.

A wedding rehearsal can be booked in advance, for a time before or after Conservatory hours, depending on staff availability, with an additional hourly booking fee. Please note that all dates and times are subject to change due to last-minute bookings. Availability is not guaranteed, and all tentative holds are confirmed only two weeks prior to the scheduled date.

We are currently accepting booking requests for 2026, however, the 2027 rental rates have yet to be established. This may not be confirmed until early January 2027.

Bookings that provide less than 2-weeks notice are currently charged an additional last-minute booking fee of $170 plus GST.

In-person viewings with a member of the rentals department are limited and by appointment only. If you wish to view the facility on your own, you are more than welcome to purchase Bloedel Conservatory admission tickets and view the facility during regular operating hours. Please note that the staff on site cannot answer any rental questions. We are more than happy to go over any questions that you may have after your visit via email.
