This beautiful wedding space has been operating for more than thirty years and is also available for public access. This stunning homestead has been acknowledged as a historic building on a lovely plaque that guests can see at the side entrance, close to the parking lot.Facilities and capacityApplewood / The Shaver House is a lovely venue for intimate celebrations with a 19th century style. Most wedding ceremonies and receptions happen in the gorgeous dining/morning room which has a capacity for up to thirty guests. Groups of fifteen family and friends or less have the option of having the ceremony taking place in the Victorian parlour.Services offeredTheir services include the provision of ministers of various denominations to perform the ceremony. Although these ministers are clergy, they are also able to officiate for non-religious nuptials. The service will be officiated following the Province of Ontario Marriage Act. Why Choose Applewood? Located in spacious Broadacres Park, this beautiful piece of 1850's history offers a cozy Victorian wedding setting in which to exchange vows. Ideal for weddings up to 35- 40 people. During the warmer months, couples are invited to take pictures outside on the front porch with our beautiful gardens as a backdrop. Our fee is very reasonable and our wedding staff is most helpful.
