Tracy Figg is a wedding photographer based in Europe, with an international professional career built in Canada. Her work combines documentary photography with an editorial eye: attention to what is happening and a personal approach to light, framing and movement. She is drawn to people when they forget the camera: the humour in a conversation, an unexpected hug, the nerves before the ceremony and everything happening around the couple. For portraits, she offers direction when needed, leaving room for each person’s personality. She always works with a second photographer. Two perspectives make it possible to follow moments happening at the same time, capture different viewpoints and pay attention to family and guests too. It is an essential part of how she tells a wedding story. Her experience in Canada informs an approach that is open to different cultures and ways of celebrating. Her images bring together spontaneous moments and thoughtfully composed portraits, without making the wedding revolve around photographs. For couples who care about both what happened and how they remember it. Languages: Portuguese and English. Basic Spanish. Images that feel like memory.
