St Joseph’s Guest House and Function Venue is your intimate daytime wedding specialist. Located in the MacDonald Valley, just 90 minutes from the busy hub of Sydney, this venue can offer you the peaceful day that you are looking for. We offer plenty of grassy areas forming a natural amphitheatre overlooking nuptials on the outdoor deck, or the tasteful ground floor of the church, rich in history and ambiance for an indoor wedding/reception – the setup is totally up to you! Since its opening in 2014, St Joseph's Guesthouse has received a number of both heritage and magazine awards. It is gaining popularity as an ideal venue for intimate functions and has received acknowledgment as an exquisite venue for weddings. The Guesthouse accommodation allows the couple and/or family and friends to arrive a day (or two) earlier and plan your individual styling. After the wedding, when guests have gone home or elsewhere in the valley to continue celebrating, the newly married couple can have their first night together in a magnificent setting before heading back into the world. If there are also some special guests staying to continue celebrations inside the Guesthouse, there are five separate bedrooms to provide a quiet and peaceful sleep before the rigours of the next day. Our wedding package is $7,500 plus gst which includes the venue hire and accommodation for ten people for up to four nights. Our DIY approach means you are free to plan your special event anyway you wish. You can organise with our suppliers, your suppliers, or bring your own tables and chairs, marquee, scatter rugs etc. The venue is ideal for daytime weddings with up to 100 people who can enjoy an intimate indoor wedding within the splendour of the multilevel church or an outdoor wedding spread out across the grounds and the natural amphitheatre of the back terraced areas overlooking the nuptials on the rear deck.

The option to decorate the space is endless and open to your imagination, but had a fantastic canvas to start with. We had 40 people for our wedding which was great, allowed a dance floor area. The building is very cold and requires some time to warm it up during winter but the bedrooms all have AC. I would recommend places for an intimate celebration.Loved this place for a wedding venue. Set in the most peaceful valley, Steve has gone above and beyond in restoring this gem of a place. Bedrooms are so comfy, large kitchen with everything you need, and so many spaces to chill out both indoors and amongst nature, we had the best time with our bridal party getting ready and celebrating. Such a unique spot and a short drive to the Settlers Arms where we had our reception (definitely worth the visit).We had our wedding here and stayed for 5 days - and it was an absolute dream. Set in the most peaceful valley, Steve has gone above and beyond in restoring this gem of a place. Bedrooms are so comfy, large kitchen with everything you need, and so many spaces to chill out both indoors and amongst nature, we had the best time with our bridal party getting ready and celebrating. Absolutely we are. Your family pet should be with you for your celebrations.
How many can you sleep
We have 5 bedrooms and can sleep two guests in each room. We can also talk to you about camping if that is your thing too!
Can I bring my own catering
Yes you can! We have suggestions however depending on what you want to have for your feast, then you can organise any cuisine you like! We have a kitchen available for you and a large BBQ as well.

Yes we have a ramp to enter the ground floor where you would have your gathering.
