Caledonian Inn

A beautiful old pub in the Main Street of Robe. Very trendily and welcoming. Jasmine the young local girl behind the bar was an excellent host who was willing to share her knowledge with us , whether it was what local beers to try (plenty on tap) or where to visit on our stay. We sat by the open fire in the small front bar a cosy little spot off the dining room. We had only called in for a drink but stayed for lunch which was the seafood chowder on the specials board...

Stopped in for a couple of drinks. Great outdoor seating with views of the sea from the balcony. Nice indoor setting wirh traditional setting/styling at the bar and surrounds

We drove 2 hours to have lunch with friends we hadn't seen for awhile. They chose the pub, as they live there. We went around the back where they had table and chairs under umbrellas. We headed up the stairs where there are a couple of tables and a view of the ocean. There are also toilets up there. Drinks and food has to be order down stairs. The service was quick, but there were only a couple other tables used.The food was tasty and reasonably priced. If you like my ratings, please follow me.
