A little more about Kirsten...
I'm Kirsten Egan, a marriage celebrant based on the Bellarine Peninsula, working across Geelong and surrounds.
I'm pretty relaxed in my approach and like to keep things simple, clear and stress-free. I'll guide you through everything step by step, help you shape a ceremony that actually feels like you, and make sure you feel confident and comfortable on the day. Couples often tell me they feel at ease pretty quickly, which is exactly how it should be.
At the end of the day, it's about creating a ceremony that feels natural, personal and enjoyable, not something you just get through, but something you genuinely remember.

What is it like working with you?
Pretty relaxed! I like to get to know you both, have a chat and find out what you want from your ceremony. You can ask me anything, and you do not need to arrive with all the answers.
Can we meet you before booking?
Absolutely. It is important that you feel comfortable with the person marrying you. We can catch up for a coffee or have a video chat and see how we get along.
What if we have no idea what we want for our ceremony?
That is completely fine and pretty common! I will talk you through some options, and we can work out what feels right for you both.
Can our ceremony be fun?
Yes, please! I always think a ceremony feels better with a few laughs throughout. There is plenty of room for the lovely moments and the funny stories.
Do we get to read the ceremony beforehand?
Yes! I will send you a draft so you can read it over and give me feedback. If something does not sound like you, we will change it.
Do we have to write our own vows?
You can, but there is no pressure. I can help with ideas, examples and getting the words together. They do not need to be long or fancy—just something you feel comfortable saying.
Do you do small weddings and elopements?
Definitely. A ceremony with just a handful of your favourite people can be pretty special. I am happy to chat about whatever size celebration you have in mind.
Can we include our children or other special people?
Of course! We can find a way to involve them that suits their personality, whether that is a reading, bringing up the rings or standing beside you.
What is included?
Your personalised ceremony, a draft to review, help with your vows, all the legal paperwork, a PA and microphone, music through my PA, and a rehearsal if needed.
What is your favourite part of a wedding?
Seeing both of your reactions. Everyone tends to watch the person walking in, but I love seeing what is happening at the other end too. Those moments get me every time!
