Welcome to The Rose Barn: an award-winning country wedding venue near Jeffreys Bay
Eight kilometres from Jeffreys Bay, on a family farm in the Seekoei River valley, The Rose Barn has been hosting weddings since 2015. Rose trees, lavender and rolling green hills give you the setting; a beautifully restored rustic barn gives you the party. It's the kind of place where cows graze beyond the ceremony lawn and the world-famous JBay surf break is twelve minutes down the road.
The barn
The barn is the heart of the venue: exposed rustic structure, crystal chandeliers and warm romantic lighting. Furniture is included and the space photographs beautifully as it is, so most couples spend far less on decor than they budgeted for.
Ceremonies and outdoor spaces
Choose from several ceremony settings across the farm, including a manicured garden lawn and tented areas for shade or shelter. A patio overlooking the river valley and open farmland is ideal for pre-ceremony drinks and canapés. There's a separate space for rehearsal dinners and open-fire feasts, so a full wedding weekend stays on one property.
Stay the weekend
Fourteen on-site rooms host your closest guests, including a honeymoon suite and dedicated bridal changing facilities, all within walking distance of the barn. Rooms are finished in neutral tones that suit bridal-party photography, and you wake up to rose gardens and river-valley views rather than a hotel corridor.
Food, drink and coordination
Catering, bar service and the wine list are all handled in-house under a full alcohol licence, and an on-site coordinator manages your day end to end. The team dresses in country attire and handles the detail so you don't have to.
Packages
The Rose Barn offers curated elopement packages, destination-wedding packages and rehearsal dinners, tailored to your guest count and budget, with discounted midweek rates. Cape St Francis is fourteen minutes away for golf, harbour lunches and canal cruises, and Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport at Gqeberha is roughly an hour by road on the N2 — easy for guests flying in from Johannesburg, Cape Town or overseas.
