We have various packages, but in summary all of them offer

• Venue Hire (exclusive use 08:00-00:00 on wedding day + 07:00 – 10:00 next day for breakfast) or from 12:00 Friday to 10:00 Sunday for weekend weddings
• We also offer weekday weddings where venue can be hired for full day, half day or per hour, with exclusive use for the time booked
• Catering (canapés, mains and dessert with choices set out in our fact sheet)
• On-site accommodation for 52 guests maximum (with an option to include breakfast) - bride and groom sleep free in the honeymoon suite

About our Farm:

Featherwood Farm is a beautiful bushveld wedding venue located just 20 km outside of Pretoria. Our venue offers a peaceful and natural setting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable wedding celebration. The venue features:

• A beautiful semi-covered bush chapel OR an open-air chapel in the heart of the bush for your ceremony
• A newly built canapé area where we serve canape’s with guests watching the sunset over our small dam where our various buck species come to feed and drink at the end of every day
• A spacious newly renovated reception area that comfortably seats up to 140 guests with a spacious dance floor, or more with a smaller or no dance floor OR a naturally set open-air venue set among the bushveld trees for up to 80 guests (this is being built and planned to be complete by the end of January 2027)
• Modern and luxurious on-site accommodation for up to 46 guests across two main areas (within walking distance of one another and the chapel/reception)

How will my time at Featherwood be spent?

Our spaces allow you and your guests to focus on a relaxed day leading up to the wedding, and a final breakfast goodbye – all within walking distance of one another – whilst our friendly staff look after everything. On the morning of the wedding, the couple checks into their respective getting-ready areas – the bride in her beautiful honeymoon suite cottage with ample space for all (from 08:00) and the groom in his private room with access to a mancave with a bar in the heart of the bushveld with complete privacy from curious guests. The guests check in from 14:00 and can enjoy the property until it is time to get move to the chapel to witness your beautiful love story. From there the canapes are served at the dam area. Around 19:00 guests move to the reception area where you can enjoy a great dinner and dance the night away (you can book the venue past 00:00 at an additional charge). Once the venue closes, guests sleeping over can move to the boma area where they are free to unwind further until whatever time they please. With short, easy walking trails, guests can take an early morning stroll through the bush on the day after the wedding before breakfast is served at 08:00 to send the couple off.

What is included in your package:

• Benches, an arch and a registry table at the chapel; at the dam (canape area) cocktail furniture and umbrella’s; in the hall wooden tables, leather chairs, podium, with basic cutlery, crockery and glassware.
• Cocktail set up on the wedding day for canapes
• Our catering cost is all inclusive with canapés served whilst the couple does their couples’ shoot, mains and dessert (see attached menu)
• 1 barmen (14:00 – 00:00) + 1 waiter + all cleaning and maintenance staff for the day of the wedding and the next day. We charge additional fees for extra waiters/barmen for more than 60 guests. The bar can be extended on the evening of your wedding and will be charged at an additional hourly rate
• Coordinator on the day of the wedding and the next day to ensure everything runs smoothly and that all your needs are tended to
• 2 bags of wood for the boma and use of the boma after the venue closes until whatever time you please
• Our property runs off full solar power with a back-up system, and we offer secure parking at all areas
